Hampton Inn Monterey reviews
14 Spotless!
Absolutely clean and greatly maintained hotel!
Lots of towels, anything you need (toiletries) you can ask at the front desk, complementary. Highly recommended
Hampton Inn usually offers daily free breakfast which I like. Our last stay at this hotel was last summer. I found a strand of black hair in one of the muffins! GROSS! Hair still inside the muffin I let the manager know, I showed him the muffin. You know what he said? NOTHING! Shrugged his shoulders…unbelievable!
Customer service…suck
This hotel might not be a 5 star, , but it is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in by far! The bathroom was spotless. There was even a plastic thingy that traps hairs from going down the drain, Breakfast was pretty decent. I love waffles and the idea of making it myself makes me happy, and yes I made my own wafflesat this hotel. We only stayed for one night but will definitely stay here again in the future.
Rooms and facilities were fine despite being an older property, but front desk staff were rude and unhelpful
Was a pleasant stay, breakfast options were great, staff were welcoming and courteous, breakfast area renovated with a modern, clean look and feel - all in line with a no-frills accommodation. Suggestions for a better experience: offer a more flavorful, robust coffee and available whole day/night given that the in-room coffee maker wasn’t working and no coffee staples were available; have drinking water tap available whole day and not just during breakfast; enforce parking restrictions in the EV spaces as gasoline cars were parked in the EV spaces.
Another Hampton Inn property that offers solid value for money. Clean and comfortable rooms, pleasant common areas, free parking, decent complimentary breakfast, convenient location, and friendly staff.
Rooms remodeled. Very clean. A little dark. Service is great. Breakfast is mediocre. Offer Direct TV. Nice furnishings
The place was pleasant. Price was high for most Hamptons. But deluxe king bed was great. Crazy timing since we only were planning on staying in Monterey for one night but it felt like every place was fully booked. We couldn't even stay for 2 nights if we wanted to! But got lucky a 2nd room became available. Unfortunately it was one of those handicap rooms and I don't recommend them tbh, the bathrooms are spacious but no sink space. Didn't like getting water literally everywhere. Skip that if you can. But friendly experience overall
Overall a good hotel. No complaints. Very typical of a Hampton Inn. Represents the brand well.
Convenient location to downtown Monterey, friendly staff. Only took off a star due to some of the noise leaking through to the room at night from what sounded like washing machines maybe? Overall recommend and would stay again.
No microwave in room, noisy air conditioner, breakfast could be better (raw potatoes). Was not acknowledged of being a Hilton Honors Member.
Vincent is a great human being, he helped me out and also he let me use the amenities at the property even he knew am just a local using the facility, he have a wonderful great customer service and he provides evacuated personalities.
Thank you Vincent.

Clean, great rooms. Right next to a walking/biking trail and in n out. No pool, no laundry, really friendly and helpful front desk staff. Helped me find a great alternative to laundry since I needed to get it done. Lots of parking
Close to Cannery Row & the Aquarium. Parking is a bit cramped because they are redoing some of the covered parking spots. Free hot breakfast, waffles, sausage & eggs. Not just some microwave oatmeal.
