Located very close to highway yet can’t hear traffic from room.

JESS at the reception desk was very helpful, service with a smile, welcoming and caring. She explained all the features of the hotel and went above and beyond to assist us with a few queries and requests which she showed her best endeavours to assist us.

It’s not often you get people being so kind and hard working, she is an asset to the company.

Room was large and bed was comfortable, more than enough USB ports in the room and tv had a lot of channels and smart tv options which made the stay more comfortable.

Love Morro Bay! Love Hampton Inn!

Cheaper options in town but you will
Swap it for the cleanliness and updated, modern environment.

Location is a hop and a skip away from the Morro Bay dunes. That’s an added plus. Watching a gorgeous sunset is minutes walk away.
It is situated just off the freeway but near RV park and Motel 6. Looks sketch but truly isn’t. Lots of light around the whole building at night so it’s quiet and safe.

New everything. Fitness center is nice.
I wouldve given 5️ but someone decided to clean the floors in the kitchen to the breakfast area and it reeks of chemicals. Not exactly what you want to smell while you are eating. It is so strong you can smell it upon entering the lobby.

Otherwise, we will be back and will tell all family and friends.

Indore pool, gym breakfast, it was an amazing experience had so much fun with my family service honestly 10/10
The rooms are really nice the beds were so comfy and well made rooms were clean and we felt safe and comfortable

Stayed here for 1 night buy should've stayed longer. The room was comfortable. The area is nice and very close to beach. The breakfast was ok.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Morro bay and had the pleasure of interacting with Jessica a front desk clerk who made my stay truly exceptional. Her warm demeanor professionalism and attention to detail left a lasting impression on me. I cannot commend her enough for going above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of excellent.

From the moment I checked in Jessica's enthusiasm and friendliness were immediately evident. She greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine interest in making my stay comfortable. Her exceptional customer service skills were evident as she efficiently processed my check-in procedures answered all my inquiries and provided useful information about the hotel amenities and local attractions.

Throughout my stay Jessica never failed to deliver exceptional service. Finally (for how long?) a relatively affordable place to stay in the SLO area. Opened in 2023! Like many Hilton properties, this is in a scenic, safe location and, like quite a few of these properties, it has a several-mile multipurpose (bike/walk) recreation path right at its edge. Perfect for a shakeout run if you're in SLO for a weekend trail run or cross-country!

Cleanliness, but let me tell you about the beds. So comfortable, better than other local hotels I’ve tried in Morro Bay. Next to HWY 1 and a liquor store/gas station next to that.

Nicely located off the freeway across from Morro Suites and Motel 6 you will see the nice new Hampton.

Being new, the smell of fresh paint was everywhere. The lobby was clean and spacious. Ample seating with booths, reading books, and tables.

There was a coffee and tea station set up in the lobby.

We were greeted by a nice woman with grey hair and the kindest eyes. She informed us that unfortunately even as Diamond members, due to staffing we weren’t able to check in as we were an hour before check in time.
We said that’s fine we will go sight seeing and come back.

We came back a few hours later apparently there had been a shift change. Shift change in people and energy. A stern younger woman, not as kind asked may I help you.

Although my husband made the reservation, used his card, and included our combined Hilton honors number she insisted I show my ID! Mind you my husband is on the honors account. Most times I don’t travel with him but being a flight attendant if I can meet up with him I will. She said if I had not been there he wouldn’t have been able to check in.
I told her this was unacceptable as I’m not always with him and we have been doing this for years.

She just makes the whole experience sour. After we checked in the normal free water and snack for diamonds were an option. Points or water? She asked! Never heard of that but okay. Points of course!
You can teach efficiency but you can’t train friendliness. Good customer service is a combination.

The room was nice. For some reason she gave us a hearing impaired room. There was a noise coming from the vent as it went off like a pice of metal was hitting something. The bathroom had no shower floor mats/towel so water was everywhere.

The gym is a nice space. 3 treadmills, 1 elliptical rack weights and an adjustable resistance machine. No bike, no water cooler however there’s a fountain just outside down the hall, no scale or mats. Still a decent gym.

The pool area was basic indoor pool however my card didn’t allow access maybe because it needed cleaning idk just saw towels on chair from the day before when I looked in.

This location is about 15-20 minutes car drive from morrow bay. Grab all your snacks on the way nothing really walking distance.

The location is quiet unless you get a room with kids whose parents let them scream and run around (unfortunately that happened to us)

The bed was comfortable pillows a bit soft you need to stack them. My highlight was that it was new and clean. Linens still crisp.

I booked the room through AMEX corp.everything was in my name with the exception of the Diamond Honors number. That was in my wife’s name. I had an email with the itinerary number and my name on it. And the desk clerk (I found out later she was the supervisor) said I couldn’t check in without my wife being with me. Even though I was listed as a secondary on the account. My wife happened to be with me on this business trip and they needed to see her ID or I couldn’t check in. I’m in my 50’s and shouldn’t need permission from my wife to check in.

Probably the best and newest hotel in Morro Bay.very friendly and helpful staff. I couldn't write anything negative. The breakfast was very rich and delicious.
I would give ville a score, but it's not a seafront Hilton.but otherwise perfect.

PS: the negative recessions are either from the competition or from nags who should stay at home ;-)

We found out they canceled our reservation when we got to the hotel, even though we checked in and have a gold status. We’ve waited 30 min to get another room + no compensation

Very disappointing for a Hampton Inn. I have stayed at quite a number of hotels in the chain the last several years and this one was by far the poorest experience I have had. It was of course clean and modern but lacking in too many areas to give a good rating.
First of all, upon our arrival, my traveling companion checked in to get his room before I did to get my room and he was not acknowledged as a Diamond Elite member which has always been the case at other Hampton Inns.
My shower offered no soap suitable for face washing which I'm guessing the ladies would find utterly unacceptable while I only found it lousy.
Breakfast at the chain for the most part has declined in the last year or so, but the breakfast at this facility was flat out poor. There were no bagels and cream cheese, no muffins, no pitchers of ice water and the juice machine was broken and we were unable to get juice. After nearly an hour, a gentleman arrived and got it working but any time without fruit juice at breakfast is simply unacceptable.
This facility only has a swimming pool but no hot tub in an area where the temperature is such that a hot tub would be very advantageous.

The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful and the hotel was always so clean! I loved staying here they were just amazing.

Very nice (quite new) hotel. The rooms are big and tidy. The beds very comfortable. The reception was friendly. It is about a 10 minute walk to Morro Rock. The breakfast was a bit poor. We would have expected more from the beautiful hotel. But you could always take coffee. The indoor pool was nice.
