The room smelled they did not give us our deposit back or our pet deposit back and we left the room immaculate considering the fact that it was horrible when we got there

Very outdated privately owned hotel. Parking is very unsafe. My car got broken into and nothing was done about it. The cameras doesn’t work! What’s the point of having them? Peter is very rude and abrupt. Irish isn’t a good “manager” you bring something to her attention and she looks lost and confused. Very ditsy! The GM doesn’t care. What kind of GM lives in the hotel? Drives a BMW but lives in a hotel? Weird business Jeff Carlstead is running.

Was greeted appropriately. The room was very nice as was the overall appearance of the hotel. It was the customary breakfast with the exception that there were no bananas nor fresh fruit cup. There is a parking fee per night, I assume because other local hotels charge it also. The location was convenient to the city and roads traveling to other popular locations.

Centrally located on the highway, very quiet and good hotel. 24-hour reception there kiosk with snacks, drinks and microwave food. Hotel has no bar or restaurant. Tip gas station across the street has beer wine sandwiches etc. Rooms very clean with coffee machine and refrigerator and microwave, TV and WLAN. Bathroom with bath shower.every day room service with fresh towels. Large double beds very comfortable. Pool also very well maintained. There are towels at the pool. Laundry and gym. Lobby also very nice. There is breakfast buffet scrambled eggs or omelette Philadelphia cheese jam fried sausage potatoes waffles to bake yourself. Two types of toast, muffins, yoghurt, cornflakes. As an excursion hotel it was very good for us. Oh yes, water with lemon is available in the breakfast room around the clock. And coffee self-service.

Nice for s business hotel. Points off for blasting fox News in breakfast area. Seriously, this can ruin an otherwise pleasant stay.

Good breakfast each morning, but the dining area was small. Only one elevator was working during our stay. A few very raucous softball teams had taken over the facility. Management was good to help contain the children that the parents did not. Rooms were clean and spacious. Helpful staff. Not much in the area for dining options, but sufficient.

Nice property. I stay at this hotel almost every time I am in San Diego. The rooms are a little bit dated but clean. They put forth the effort on cleaning and - even with a few imperfections - it is obvious that they try to give guests a good experience. My window was open when I arrived and stuck. I called the front desk and they sent maintenance quickly. The blinds were a little dirty. Overall - it is a good property. Just a little bit dated (but none of them can stay new forever). I'm a Hilton Diamond member so I am in a lot of different Hilton properties. I like this one enough to return every time I need a hotel in this area.

I just stayed here while in town on a business trip. The hotel has had some renovations recently and has been spruced up a bit. However underneath I’d have to say it is not the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at. The bed was not very comfortable nor were the pillows. I was glad to only be in. This hotel for one night. The following two nights we were in the Hampton Inn near LAX which was a much nicer hotel. I was not very fond of the area as the surroundings were very run down looking and there were not any decent looking places within walking distance of the hotel. I was able to Uber about 10-12 mins away and find some decent places to eat though. I did not have very much interaction with the staff but when I did they seemed pretty friendly. I had forgotten that the Hampton Inn hotels do not have cook to order breakfast which was an inconvenience for me since I have food intolerances. I think I’ll try to find a bit nicer location to stay in on my next visit to San Diego.

This is a good place to stay. Staff are not outgoing, but they are pleasant when spoken to. The weekday free morning breakfast is very good. Remember to tip your housekeepers results in extra linen and extra toiletries.

The room had a queen and a foldout couch. The wifi was pretty good and not a pain to log into. I could watch YouTube with no buffering.

It was all fairly standard. What made me want to write a review was the breakfast. There were a few kinds of juice, two kinds of waffle batter you could make as either mini or regular size, maple sausage, three kinds of coffee, etc. I really enjoyed all of it.

***OFFERS CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN***

I love how this hotel has contactless check-in. We stayed here in February. I checked in via app when I was at Legoland during the day. I was assigned a room and a digital room key via app. All I had to do was walk to my room. BEST AMENITY EVER! Especially after a long day at an amusement park with a toddler.

My room was nice, clean. The breakfast was great! The staff we had an interaction with was great.

Surrounding areas has tons of restaurants in walking distance. Target is the next exit, there are also restaurants around there was well. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in this hotel many times for short business trips (usually 2 to 5 days) to San Diego. Hampton Inn has been my top choices considering it's location, quality and cleanness of facility, service, convenience of restaurant and market access, free breakfast and reasonable price. This is nothing really fancy for a vacation but all I need for a business trip are good here.

Rooms have comfortable beds, quiet, and serviced by excellent cleaners. Reception very professional.

Our issue and the reason we left 2 days early is that we encountered people that looked and smelt homeless on 2 occasions in the breakfast area. On reflection this is the first Hilton I have stayed in where u have to get a key for the reception restrooms.

If they have a problem of this nature I think front door should be more controlled, breakfast should require a room card and the lifts need to have key card access for resident floors.
