Hampton Inn San Francisco Downtown/Convention Center reviews
11Responding to hotel response: I already submitted the post-stay survey that was sent. You can access my feedback there. Thx.
A last minute stay here due to a heavy storm. Staff was very nice checking in and the door man but be aware parting your car will cost you $60+ a night. This hotel has a very small lobby but it has fresh coffee and a table to eat at, which we utilized since we ordered take out.
Horrible hotel, the desk people are very rude, I forgot at check out in the morning a jacket in the closet, came back in the afternoon, they told me they didn't have access to the housekeeping closet, called a few days after, since I have already traveled out of the city, and was looking for their support to ship it, and they told nothing was found, and offer no help to recover it, this has never happened to me before, I have forgotten things in the past in other hotels and they always return them, and assist me with it, in this hotel not only did they not help me, they were completely rude
The staff did a great job accommodating our large group and were quick to resolve a burned out light bulb.
There were issues getting fresh blankets, toilet paper, and towels, but the hotel was decent and safe and has a decent breakfast.
I liked the security and breakfast variety. The rooms were okay, beds a bit stiff and no microwave in room. Location is good, but like in many areas there were a lot of homeless near exit. The shower knob was loose and the bathroom light flickered so rooms are a bit outdated.
I've stayed here a few times now and it's a very decent spot to stay at. Walking distance to many local attractions, the staff is mostly friendly and decent, the free breakfast is pretty clutch when you can't decide what to eat.
As a Hilton Diamond member, I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels. This hotel had a clean and updated feel. They should easily get 4 stars, but the service was just ok. They weren’t friendly or helpful and didn’t meet expectations.
I do not recommend it, the lousy reception service, the bad breakfast. We paid for the parking service and it took more than 40 minutes to deliver it that we lost the dinner reservation. And the worst, they used our truck leaving it dirty with cookies and the passenger seat dirty, they spilled liquid and the hotel was not responsible. We asked for a towel to put on the seat and they gave us a plastic bag. The worst hotel I've ever seen
This place has Bed Bugs. Management/Ownership does not care. They minimize feelings, gaslight, and avoid responsibility. This Establishment is unprofessional, rude, and does not care about its patrons. Avoid at all cost.
EDIT: It has been 5 days, and they have still not had their "professionals" evaluate the infestation, which means you may be sleeping adjacent to a room with possible hitchhikers.
Perfect location, few minutes walk from the SF Downtown, trams, hop on busses, Square etc. C an't get better location for this price. The hotel is clean, bright, smells perfectly, a guard closes doors so that not to let homeless come into, which makes feel safe. Rooms are quite small, however very much cozy, soft beds and perfect complimentary cosmetics by "Neutrogina". Breakfast is not really variety of choice, but we never felt hungry and made different flavours great wafles every morning. 100% recommended!
