Hapa's Brewing Company reviews
25 Huge space. Parking all around the building. The staff is nice and helpful and it is very dog friendly. I am not a beer lover and was there with friends. They had me try their raspberry sour, Crazy Cougar, and I liked it. On a Friday night probably a quarter of the people there had a dog. All the pups were very relaxed and there were also kids hanging with their parents.
There was a food truck out front and it was also fine to BYO food in, which my group did. Age range was twenties and thirties mostly, but us older folk were okay and didn't feel out of place.
Four stars because there were no non-beer options (yet).
Lively brewery with open space, large tables in an industrial strip next to the light rail. Outdoor seating avail. Tasty beers!
Variety of great choices of craft beer! Dog friendly, decent service, food trucks right outside with few options.
Fantastic beer, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. There is literally nothing wrong with this place. I have enjoyed myself every single time I have visited. Thanks, Hapa's, for making Willow Glen even better than it already was!
Enjoyed the ambiance and decor. Friday night was packed so chairs were hard to come by. Also lots of kids and pets. Beer was good and pizza truck was definitely a plus.
My friends and I came here after lunch. The parking lot is kinda small, but we managed to find a spot. They don't serve food, but they do have a food truck outside. We each ordered a flight, which came with 4 tasters, for $9 each.
I got Barbie's Blonde, Little Angel, Cranky Cougar, and St. Claire. They have a paper menu that had a description of each beer. The Cranky Cougar was probably my favorite. It was a raspberry sorbet kettle sour. It was refreshing for the hot summer. The other beer's were also really good.
Inside was really big, as it seemed like multiple parties were happening. They had a selection of board games too. I would definitely go again; they have a good variety of quality beers for really cheap! A really nice place to chill and hang out.
Very casual place to be. This place is for couples, family with kid, and some group gathering and many others.
4th picture from left to right.
Dekker of Truth (saison) - little stale but good saison taste, easy to drink, lots of flavors.
St. Claire (spring ale) - Weak, light and nice
Amish Rifle (red ale) - light, mild, dark ale
Miracle Mac (IPA) - very vibrant green hoppy taste, mildestbof IPAs but still strong.
Food choice here is some chips etc, but there is a good truck outside. People can order there and bring the food to your table.
In the brewery, there are darts, beanbag toss, and many boardgames while people enjoys their beer. It seems, well behaved k-9 can join the fun!
Great vibe, lots of sitting and standing seating. Couches, chairs, stools, benches. And very dog friendly! Lots of good boys milling around and chewing on bones, getting their fill of water while their owners drank and chatted away, anyone who's anyone can have a good time here! Servers are knowledgeable and fun, chill people. Lots of board games (Battleship, Scattergories, Sorry, Monopoly, Yahtzee, Jenga, UNO, Who's Who, etc.) as well as darts available for interested patrons and a bean bag toss area. Seemed like a good night out for those with kids or babies, couple tables with families playing games. Very fun, bright environment.
Easy to order flights, they have pencils and papers where you list out your 4 choices which they bring to you in order. Makes it convenient to track what you're drinking.
Snacks are sold at the bar, but food is available from whichever food truck is there that day. The evening I was there, it was @laburritatruck which was delicious, a little expensive but portions were filling for me. Also a unique selection of salsas which were spicy and tasty.
Overall a fun experience in a fun place (lots of other cool shops in the building). Great for groups or just chilling by yourself at the bar. Lots of air coming in from the doors as well so it kept down the temperature and prevented any stuffiness.
Great Facility. OK Beer.
The place is well appointed with lots of seating, a bunch of game options and of course a bar. There was some outside seating as well. The beer though was pretty standard. They were decent examples of the styles, but nothing too memorable for me.
I'd definitely go back to hang with friends, I'm just not sure I'd seek it out specifically.
The service and atmosphere was great, unfortunately the beer was pretty tastless and lackluster. Would absolutely love it were it not for that.
Fantastic beer and fun atmosphere. Definitely one of the best breweries in San Jose (if not the best)
No kids should be allowed here. Hard to enjoy a beer when you are watching other people's kids. People are treating it like a day care while their kids climb dangerously over the railings. Beer is not bad.
Simply an amazing place for a Beer I. Silicon Valley. You can have the Kids or the dogs with you w/ Food Truck on site. Huge open area for all to enjoy
Nice environment - kids, dogs; but I didn't like any of the brews in my sampler. Younger crowd, almost no one over forty. But if that's you, go for it!
Very nice place to relax at and have a beer. Wish they had a kitchen, but the food trucks tend to make up for it. Also, their beer selection changes quite often. My favorites aren't around anymore, but they still have good beer all the time.
This place can be great at times. I just wish I could go to a brewery and it not feel like a children's day care.
Pretty chill. Self service water was nice.
Good for a our size group to meet up. Positive experience.
Awesome service, great beers, nice selection for every beer lover. All the servicer ROCKED the house! Best of times! First day if St Patrick's Weekend! Cheers!
I think this place is cool. And more importantly they have good beer. Word of caution if you are not a fan of dogs. It is a dog friendly establishment and when I was there on a Friday night there were about 10 dogs there.
Love this place. Open. Fresh air. Killer brews. Food truck outside. What more can a guy want. Tonight I had the Icky Roads double IPA and lady had Welcone Stranger IPA. Both rock.
