After a long wait for an opening for my parents who are in their 70s and late 60s, they were told it is their turn to apply for qualification. So all excited I'm taking them in.
A week after they signed, pretty much their life away with so many verifications and papers, Rihanna the manager told me they are pretty much approved, everything is verified and go ahead tell your parents to put their leave notice to their current apartment and their move in date is going to be in 2 weeks, on august 1st. So I told My parents, they were so excited, they were already packing and getting ready for their move, Then she called me back after a few hours saying she got bad news, she just calculated their gross income and their gross income is over by 7k$. I thought she was joking, how can you be that irresponsible to tell someone to give their leave notice then call back hours later and say they do not approve. Also Based on her calculation my parents are making 67k together before tax.both of my parents work schedules changes month to month btw and they make way below 60k together for the past 10 years and you can clearly see on their tax returns, but apparently they have their own way of income calculation which is a joke, they go based on your last 3 months of income and multiply that income for the rest of the year. My mom was crying and very devastated as she was really looking forward to this apartment for her and my dad's retirement. I leave it to the people to judge, I called the corporate number because I felt like this was absolutely unacceptable the way it was handled but the lady who responded seemed to care less about everything, I thought this apartment really cared about seniors but I guess like the other reviewer said they seem like another corporate that can care any less.
