Harmony Ridge Lodge, Nevada City CA

The breakfast! The cook is very warm and inviting. He goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The free breakfast is tasty and well worth it! The coffee is amazing and I loved the breakfast selection. We had a blast playing the board games and enjoying the great room. The heated toilet seat was pretty neat. We will be back!

Looking forward to our wedding next year. The staff is fantastic, the place is clean and well kept. The grounds are gorgeous!

Had a great stay at the HRL! The gardens are beautiful. I was able to use the WiFi for work (Google docs) and I also streamed a workout in my room. I stayed in room 8 and it was very clean. It had a fridge and a microwave and both worked great. The AC worked well, too. I chose this room because it had a dining table so I could spread out and work.

The breakfast was quiche one day and pancakes the next. Both good. The location is Super close to Scott’s flats and a 7 min drive to downtown Nevada city. I walked to the deli down the road and my sandwich was so good!

The one and only negative comment I have is that the bed was super soft and somewhat uncomfortable, but I know that’s personal preference.

Spacious rooms and wonderful homemade breakfasts in a beautiful forest setting with lush gardens and friendly staff. Plenty of hiking trails and things to do in nature!

Gorgeous and inviting. The fellow who maintains it and cooks breakfast is a diligent attendee (and an entertaining raven-buff, hit him up for a pleasant chat). The rooms are gorgeous with beautiful views. The wooded areas are filled with birds and vibrant plant life. There's enough room for a large gathering, and also to get a bit of quiet alone time during a large gathering. I was here for the wedding of a close friend, for which I traveled across the country. If I ever return to Sacramento, I should really enjoy getting to visit this place again.

2nd time staying. Very comfortable, within in driving distance from Nevada City, Scott's Flat lake, independence trails off 49. Great place to stay just outside the cities.

Certainly a beautiful piece of property to rent out and take your whole family to. The wedding we went to was gorgeous here. Easy to get lost in the trees that stand tall here. Priceless memories. Thank you Harmony Ridge!

Beautiful venue for a wedding or other special occasion. Immaculate gardens and a peaceful forest setting.

This place was absolutely fantastic. The room was large and still had a cozy but tasteful feel. The gardens surrounding the property are gorgeous. The woman operating the lodge was incredibly friendly and generous with us, and had yummy hot options at breakfast time. She also gave us a great recommendation on where to go river swimming that turned out to be our favorite place to do so (Oregon creek day use area).
On top of all of that, there is an adorable, friendly little lodge dog who really delighted my kids.
I can't wait to stay here in the future.

This place was amazing. The grounds are kept up very nicely. The buildings are rustic and modern all at the same time. The rooms a large and spacious. Perfect place for a wedding, party or large family reunion. I definitely will be returning to this place.

My brother had a small wedding here And it was beautiful. Being right off hwy 20 you could not really hear any road noise. Perfect place for a small to medium wedding.

Great service and accommodating staff especially during Covid. Enjoyed my nephews wedding and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was awesome! Beautiful setting!

Love this place close to hiking and biking trails, fishing and the outdoors. The rooms are unique be prepared no TV or phones in rooms but wi fi works great. The staff here are very accommodating. Great place for weddings in the outdoors

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. Well maintained, beautiful property and cozy, clean rooms. The first time, the breakfast was stellar! This time (COVID-19), unfortunately the breakfast was just to-go cold items. But I love the location right at the entrance of Tahoe National Forest and close proximity to Nevada City and Grass Valley. Highly recommend!

Amazing stay at a beautiful property! Super clean rooms with cute layouts and great views. Wonderful friendly staff, awesome breakfast even with Covid, and Milo the office dog is the cutest! Will def stay again if I’m ever back in the area.

This is the absolute best place to stay handsdown! I have traveled so many places and this beats them all! The customer service is the best. These people go out of the way to help make you feel at home. Beautiful and extra clean. Even there towels smelled amaizing! Very impressed. Very quiet and relaxing. Good breakfast and beautiful views. Could not ask for a better experience.

Gorgeous space in the woods in Nevada City, Grass Valley area. Very reasonable room rates, modern furnishing, beautiful patio space. Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Pet friendly.
Definitely a cozy place to stay in town.
