Hartley Botanica

Honestly a dream venue! Hartley Botanica is lush, romantic, whimsical, and intimate. There are multiple stunning areas on the property for photos. We leaned into the natural beauty of the grounds for our wedding day and couldn’t be happier. The whole team was great to work with and made our vision come to life. (FYI venue is completely outdoors. We added lots of blankets for guests and heat lamps at reception to keep guests comfortable at our April 1 wedding.)

The beauty of the gardens is beyond words.
It is meticulously maintained to the highest standards.
Whether you're stopping by, do you have your wedding photos taken or actually having the ceremony there? This is the location you want secluded enough to be private and quiet but not so far out of the way that half your wedding party gets lost.

Like being transported to enchanted rain forest! I've performed countless weddings at Hartley, and know it's one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the United States! Make this a can't miss stop if you're looking for a place to hold one of the biggest days of your life! If I could give it 10 Stars I would!

Such a beautiful and magical venue! Literally a dream come true. The entire process was wonderful and Barbara and her team were absolutely great. All of the staff were attentive to our needs. All of our guests loved the space and had a wonderful time. Karen, our day of coordinator was very helpful, accommodating, and nice. She made everyone feel welcome. Everything, from the ceremony to the end of the reception flowed seamlessly. It truly allowed us to let go and enjoy the day. The food was great! Everyone kept raving about the hors d’oeuvres and dinner dishes. The drinks were made well (kudos on getting the raspberry lemon drops right)! The grooms quarters was unique (the AC was greatly appreciated) and the bridal suite was a wonderful space to relax and get ready. We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding day at Hartley Botanica!

My girlfriend and I attended a beautiful wedding at Hartley Botanica last weekend. A beautiful rural venue in Somis, just outside of Camarillo, it was a beautiful setting. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed ourselves.

They could benefit from having better signage/wayfinding, as we found ourselves frequently trying to figure out where we should go. Employees were more than willing to answer questions, but some good signage would help guests know where to go without hundreds of people having to repeatedly ask employees where to go.

All in all, a beautiful, classy wedding venue just 60-90 minutes from LA.

This is a BEAUTIFUL event space. Gives major fairy garden vibes. There are definite designated cocktail, ceremony and reception spaces but there are other open spaces that give you some additional options. Venue staff is easy to work with. Bridal suite and grooms suites available. No kitchen so catering would have to build that out. Guest parking is valet only however there is a separate lot for vendors and staff. The only thing that stood out negatively is that they only allow 30 minutes to strike the event which is pretty tight or even impossible if your bringing in a lot of rentals. Over all a beautiful space to host a wedding.

I was there for a wedding. What a beautiful venue. It’s all outdoors so be mindful of the weather for adding a jacket or wrap to your outfit for the evening.

Hartley Botanica was the perfect venue. My wedding turned out magical. All staff were great and did an amazing job.

Beautiful place. We were there for a wedding. It was hot as hell outside, but with the trees all around, the shade made it very comfortable, even though we were in suits!

Our wedding at Hartley Botanica was absolutely PERFECT. It was the most magical day, and we know that's in part because we chose Hartley for our venue. The venue itself isn't just stunning, it's a sensory delight. It's lush with vegetation and flowers, it smells amazing from all the jasmine, and you can hear water trickling in the background. We loved that there were so many different spaces too, from the gorgeous ceremony, the lotus garden for cocktail hour, the rose garden, to the reception area. Even though we got married in July, we never once felt too hot because the venue is so shaded with all the trees and vegetation.

Every single staff member was warm, helpful, and easy to work with. The on-site coordinator Karen was particularly helpful and communicative. We weren't nervous about anything leading up to the day because it was clear we were in good hands. Karen and the rest of the staff at Hartley made it very easy for us to prepare and plan, and they orchestrated the day smoothly-it's clear they have a ton of experience and they know how to organize a wedding.

We also received tons of compliments about Hartley from our guests, who gushed about the beautiful space, the delicious food, etc.

We are so grateful to everyone at Hartley Botanica who helped to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. We wouldn't change a thing!

I am in Awe of this place! One of my best friends had their wedding here and it was beautiful, the food was amazing!

BEWARE!
Discriminates against the disabled! Adds surcharge for service animals, which would be one thing if it were a normal pet but as an active animal in service for a disabled person, being required to pay extra was just unacceptable. Animal did not bark once, and was well-behaved, but this is how they want to "do business", by prohibiting the disabled unless paying an extra surcharge and thus violating Title III of the ADA. Also property upkeep needs improvement.

Terrible service! We found it to be a nice place but finding out how my family was treated and lied to changes everything. Firstly, was told that service dogs needed to pay an additional fee, but later was indirectly called rude by the owner who ignorantly assumed a service animal is just a pet, and immediately added that seeing eye dogs are allowed (which are service animas lol). Then was given reasons of insurance, loud music for dogs, and lack of facilities. Lastly, was condescendingly told “I’m glad you learned your lesson”, and went on to imply we have no manners and would be a nuisance to other peoples homes as well!
The contradictions were hilarious! If there’s no facilities for dogs as they say, what about the seeing eye dogs which they allow? And btw, half the venue was fake grass, trees, and plants
The music was loud if standing right in front of the speaker but its a large venue with only a few speakers, and hardly an excuse if allowing seeing eye dogs. The insurance can be understandable for pets but trained service animals are not just “furry friends” honey, and you’d best brush up on accommodating those with disabilities instead of low key insulting and talking down to them! Please treat others how you’d like to be treated

Beautiful location, have been to multiple events here and it’s always well run. Great location in the Country side.
