Hatchet Mountain Vista Point -- looking towards Burney Mountain reviews
7This would be a nicer view if one wasn't aware that roughly six miles of ugly wind turbines are just over the ridge behind the pullout (named for the peak it desecrates, not Burney Mountain that it views). Those "green" eyesores literally take a hatchet to the namesake mountain. Avangrid wants to build a lot more in the semi-rejected Fountain Wind project. But the push for these projects will continue as America gets "cleaner and greener. " They build them on mountaintops to catch more wind, but without fossil fuels they'd not exist, and will eventually fall apart after oil peaks.
AMAZING.
WILDERNESS AREA. WILDFLOWERS WERE ABUNDANT. VOLANIC FORMATIONS.
My goodness. What a clear view of the fall. Very nice. We however went down that made us feel meeting with a little brother of Niagara Falls:)
Vista point overlooking Burney mountain with plenty of parking spaces. Good spot to stop by on the way to Redding or nearby attractions.
5 stars for allowing me to park my semi truck safely during a winter storm. Chained up the wheels to make it here from Burney, CA.
Nothing better than the beautiful outdoors. This sight is one of a kind. Nature is great for the mine, body & soul. It is so beautiful during the winter. I will be returning soon.
Very beautiful view. Nice place to go and check out and definitely take pictures of.
