Hawk Hill, Sausalito CA

Hawk Hill/Marin Headlands holds a special place in my heart. Every time I go there, I'm amazed by the stunning views and reflect on the beauty and fragility of life.
You can drive through the tunnel and follow the road all the way to the top of Hawk Hill, where there is ample parking. On a clear day, the views from the parking lot of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco skyline, and the ocean are truly breathtaking. Even on a foggy day, there's a special charm to Hawk Hill, as you patiently wait for the fog to clear and reveal the wonders that lie beyond.
If you're up for a small challenge, there's a 1.6-mile trail from Hawk Hill to the Golden Gate Bridge viewpoint. The trail is hilly and narrow, so be careful. When you reach the viewpoint, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Sausalito, and Treasure Island. You will also see padlocks on a section of the chain-link fence, symbolizing love and eternity.
Visiting Hawk Hill/Marin Headlands always reminds me of how wonderful, magical, and fragile life is. It makes me treasure every moment and live my life to the fullest.

Very underrated place to catch the sunset and a good view of the bridge. It's a bit tricky to understand how to drive too, but it is open to the public.

This place is really cool.the view of San Francisco is very beautiful here. There are also "remnants" of WWII.

Beautiful vantage point to see San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. I believe there was some hiking that was available, but we focused on a quick view due to time constraints

If you are visiting the Golden Gate Bridge then you must visit Hawk Hill for a marvelous view of the Bridge with San Francisco on the background.
Even with the dense fog covering the lower part of the bridges, it looks gorgeous!

We took Uber to Hawk Hill, but the driver dropped us on top of the hill. We had to walk down to the observation point to see this stunning view. You can view the city of SF n the bridge at once. Absolutely gorgeous

Hawk eye view of "the city" and the Golden Gate. Go at the Golden hour for the glow. Sunset spectacular! Only wish I would have waited until the sun had completely set. Wanted to see the bay light up!
