Heidelberg Park has really open and beautiful view from the top, along San Rafael Ave. It's fantastic to even just walk down the hill on the sidewalk.
As for the park itself, there seems to be a trailhead at the hilltop but it looks out of maintenance, and I don't feel comfortable going down there, not knowing where it leads to. It feels like an off-track wild trail.

This park is a bit of an oasis in the city, cool views, but its very overgrown and needs to be de-trashed.and I happened to go through the main trail after sunset and it is FULL OF RATS! Just creepy. Needs a good cleanup.
