Helmuth Billy has a very rude and condescending attitude. I called for information and he shut me down immediately because I bothered him during work. IM CALLING FOR INFORMATION. I got my weight loss surgery else where and look awesome no thanks to this doctor.

Dr. Billy performed 6 operations on patients I know. When I met him for the first time he was your typical white male attitude and outlook on weight towards women. This was very surprising to me considering he is highly rated. I thought perhaps I caught him on a bad day… I told him that I actually don’t eat that much to which he replied “well you did something to get as big as you are. ” Rude! Rude! Rude! The point of the surgery is for those who have struggled for YEARS to lose weight and for a professional to openly embrace a very common misconception was just disgusting.
My surgery was already scheduled…
I’d like to say that my experience improved but sadly, no. I was given too many blood thinners and was losing blood too quickly. I was given a platelet infusion. My blood levels were still too low and I had to have 2 blood transfusions. When asked what happened he shrugged and said “sometimes these things happen. ” Yes, they do. When someone is neglectful and not paying attention. CMH was absolutely terrible in their care. All around terrifying….

I was referred to Dr Billy by my UCLA doctors and when I met him, I had several medical issues. He performed a very complicated procedure and did a stellar job. It has been 4 months since my surgery and I am down 100 lbs already and feeling great. Dr Billy I can't thank you enough.

Dr Billy does my surgeries. He saved me. He removed my terrible gallbladder with gallstones. He had said it was the third worst gallbladder he'd seen in his surgical career. Dr. Billy never made me feel scared instead he always made me feel taken care of and he did a stellar job. About 6 months and 41 pounds lost.later.he repaired a painful Peri-umbilical hernia. I was in so much pain everyday. Now it's been almost 2 weeks. I no longer have that terrible pain my navel. I'm getting better and better every day. I honestly feel happier and healthier. I'm looking forward to the near future to actually having gastric bypass surgery. With Dr Billy's help and some lifestyle changes and everyone at the office at Ventura advanced surgical. My life just keeps improving. He's so supportive and he explains everything pros and cons. I literally can't recommend him enough. Dr Billy's team of doctors and nurses that work with him at CMH are really fabulous. Especially RN Terri she was so attentive and she made it her business to make sure I was happy and well taken care of. And whether I was being treated at CMH or his office they treated me with TLC and respect. Dr Billy's office staff and nurses and associates that have taken care of me at his office at Ventura advanced surgical are so nice and quite organized. This office is beautiful and clean. Dr Billy really is a dream come true.

I’m so used to doctors giving you 10 minutes and typing the whole time their with you I was kind of shocked at how much time Dr Billy spent with me 1 on 1. We discussed my medical history in depth, he listened to my wants and explained what my options were and also what to truly expect from each one. Definitely earned my trust.
