Heritage Coffeehouse reviews
16 Ridiculously high prices.
$2.00 extra for oat milk in a special fall drink that comes standard with oat milk (not a substitution). Not even Starbucks charges extra for alternative milk if the drink comes with it standard. To be honest, it’s a little deceptive to advertise a drink as coming with oat milk as standard, but then charge $2 extra for it.
No option for adding single espresso shot. I asked for one but got and paid for two apparently. Only can add double shot for $2.50. $2.50 for 2 shots is high ($1.25/shot).
Also, when looking at the menu I noticed to add a flavor is $1.50. Most other cafe charge 0.50-0.75 to add flavor.
How were these two (only 16oz!) lattes $12 and $10? I have never seen prices that high anywhere else. These same drinks would be cheaper at almost every coffee shop you could go to in the area, with extra shots and all. Absolutely absurd.
Won’t ever be back.
We stopped in for coffee and breakfast on our weekend adventure to Shasta lake. Glad we did! The breakfast was wonderful. Really the best bagel breakfast sandwich I've ever had and the kids hot chocolate was perfection. Not too hot! Coffee was great too, but the food! Loved the basil in the biscuits and gravy? ! Really amazing place with a wonderful atmosphere and kind service. Thank you! Worth every penny spent.
I went there for both personal and business and they were amazing! Their service is friendly and the coffee spectacular! They offer a cozy feeling customer section with tables, couches and a tall bar. The feeling inside is happy.
Did a quick map search for coffee, saw this place, and definitely saving this for anytime I’m passing through again. Hip look + vibe, friendly service, nice selection of beverages, and they use a rosemary herb biscuit for their biscuits and gravy. They use ceremonial matcha which I appreciate and added lavender syrup for a tasty lavender matcha. Great find in Shasta Lake!
I am always looking for good coffee, organic medium roast.
I am not impressed with the roast or the fact that they don't have organic medium roast.
They have a large garden area next to the building that is in need if attention, trees dying and totaly overgrown.
It's kind of depressing and could be a beautiful place.
Great space and place. Drinks and food are really good. Peaceful. Plenty of Inside and outside seating.
My favorite breakfast spot in the Redding/Shasta Lake area. Food is always top notch, everything is clean and staff have always been friendly and welcoming. Great spot for a couple, solo diner, family, or students meeting/working.
Heritage has always been one of my fav coffee shops in Redding. It’s consistently good coffee, a more peaceful vibe compared to other coffee shops in town and great staff.
Fantastic coffee, food and snacks. It’s hard to find good coffee, and this spot was delish.
Service is A+. Shout out to Natalie and kitchen staff! 10/10
I believe this is likely the best cortado or Gibraltar that I've had anywhere and I have had quite a few from the east coast to the West Coast in the United States of America.
Great shop, even greater coffee. The baristas are helpful and knowledgeable - they're happy to share information, and I always feel like I know coffee a little better after speaking with them. Owners are great folks with a beautiful vision for loving their community well, so supporting Heritage means bringing beauty to the community, one cup at a time.
I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks and enjoyed a great coffee. The last time I went to Heritage Coffeehouse, I tried their biscuits and gravy. It was deeelicious. Great service. Just a little crowded seating in the middle area. But I think it's worth coming back to.
Just moved to Shasta Lake and decided to try this place. OH MY GOODNESS it was delicious. It was the best avacado toast EVER! The biscuits and gravy were on point too! I will definitely go back. My new favorite place!
Had an absolutely lovely visit when passing through on a road trip. Had a really delicious drip coffee made from a blend of a Papua New Guinea coffee and an Ethiopian coffee, a nice espresso, my kids both ordered tasty steamers, and my wife got a vanilla latte. The food looked super delicious too, but we weren’t in need of food at the time. The baristas were super friendly and speedy. What a great specialty coffee shop invested in town you wouldn’t expect! Shasta Lake is lucky to have a place so invested in great product and service.
We’ve always loved Heritage Coffee, cute ambiance and great coffee, but I just ordered 2 coffees and the total came to just over $20. I have never, ever heard of a $10 coffee. It is in a mug that wasn’t even filled to the top…and it was $10 They claim they had to raise their prices due to inflation, but I go to coffee shops frequently and this is by far the most I’ve ever paid In my life. I’ve literally had a cup of Kopi luwak, known to be the most expensive coffee in the world, for less. This isn’t the staffs fault…. That being said, I really hope management realizes charging 10 dollars isn’t justifiable. Much love to Heritage Coffee Shop, but needs to be better for the coffee community. Won’t be going back, sadly.
The coffee is the best in town. The beans create such a delicious cup of espresso! The food is wonderful and I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy or spicy avocado toast! Finally, they have the kindest baristas that know just what to recommend! 10/10.
