A great experience from the moment we arrived to pickup our new ID. 4. Annie demonstrated the various features (she was a lot more knowledgeable about the ID. 4 than sales people at other dealerships we had visited) and made sure our car was ready to go. Jesus, the sales manager, checked in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly and the finance manager was quick and efficient in getting all the paper work done. I would recommend this dealership to my family and friends.

A sticker was placed correctly.
The tire mud flaps were placed incorrectly.missing screws, not seated screws, rivet were used in some areas.

This is our 12th new vehicle and we always do our homework before we go to the dealership. We’re new to VW and EV family, knew a little bit of the ID4 but Annie showed us the car down to the last detail including downloading apps for it, helped us every step. She is definitely a PRO.

The service dept reached out and went above and beyond to provide great customer service and resolve our issue. Tried to update recent review to higher rating but couldn’t.
Please give them a chance when frustration happens, since I have had poor experience with other dealerships.
They got my wife a quick appointment and resolved our warning light issues.
Will be returning for sure

Ricardo did an excellent job as well as his team. They have earned my business and respect.

When I first arrived at the dealership I was told by the service manager Ricardo Sanchez that the service area was busy. After I explained to him the service light had come on and went off, he advised me to take the car home since there was "nothing wrong with it". He did not even look at the car yet. I insisted it get looked at and I left the car. There turned out to be a big issue with the car and a part needed to be ordered and replaced. So much for nothing being wrong with it. I had to ask for a rental, one was never offered to me. The car was at the dealership for over 11 days. I picked up the rental on day 3. The car was returned to me dirty and not charged. I did not have a good experience. The car was serviced because it had to be, and was still under warranty. Beyond that, there was nothing great about the service at Cook. They just did what was required of them and nothing more. I was also treated poorly and dismissed initially, which I did not appreciate.

I went to Mission Bay where I believe the problems started because of not doing the oil change and then on to South Bay Volkswagen (owned by MB VW) where I did not experience confidence when leaving.
My family will be coming to Cook VW.

Annie made the process so easy. She answered all my questions and made my experience very positive. I have always been weary of car dealerships because of the games played. At Cook.no games just honest value.

This is the best dealership that we've ever experienced. We've owned well over 30 vehicles with all various makes; but this dealership is by far the best at customer service! Highest Marks to the entire crew! No, I'm not related.

I wish I could give more stars. Staff was amazing to say the least. I was helping my niece buy a car and didn’t have the best experience at other VW dealers but after speaking to Jesus over the phone we made the 2 hour drive to purchase her first car. We were so pleased with her deal that my sister also traded her Atlas in for a new one. Hopefully next week we will be in to purchase my wife’s as well. Keep up the good work Cook VW you are awesome.

VW translates as People’s Car in English. I have visited in Germany 4 times in my life. They respect VW more than any car brands because it was invented in World War II according to the history. But I see it in the USA a bit underestimated by people who don’t know cars well enough to make that poor judgmental call. I’d like to say that every VW dealership gives different experiences as well as impressions. Based on that Herman Cook Volkswagen in Encinitas is the best yet they run its business highly ethical and treat their customers as well as staffs like their family. Appreciate you all sincerely and they have saved me as VW’s loyal customer. Happy to see this dealership has hired Devin Campbell because he is not only knowledgeable about VW’s new EV cars yet but also he is very sincere and his work ethic as well personality are epic.
