It was my first time going to a barber shop and i was very happy that i was attended very well, the barber was very patient with my kid although he was hard to deal with, he left him looking good still.i really recommend this place to anyone! The work is amazing! They won’t fail you

I took my son in to get his first haircut. He had an appointment scheduled for 11: 20 I walked in, and the gentleman to the right greeted me. I asked if I needed to sign in if I had an appointment and he said yes, I wrote down my son’s name with the appointment time. We sat down and were called over a few minutes later.my son was seated with a whole different person than the barber he had the appointment with. I wasn’t aware that that was not the barber he was supposed to see.for the appointment, I showed the barber the picture I wanted that was a picture with tapered sides, and a cut in the back the same way tapered. When the barber was done with my sons cut, I literally cried, leaving the barbershop the sides looked like zigzags. One side was higher than the other and choppy he had pieces of his hair missing. I did not know that was not the barber with the appointment until after my sons hair was already messed up. I don’t understand how they let beginners cut hair and not check his work! Or the fact that I even paid $30 for the haircut I had to take him to a second barbershop to get it fixed. I took him to Johnny’s barbershop. Luckily Johnny was able to fix his hair.

I wish I would have read the reviews before ever going to this place! If I can give them several stars, I definitely would!

My son went there 3 times and they always mess some thing up, they gave him 2 different fades and he just asked for a taper. Then one side has more hair then the other and this time they got his back straight but the sides are uneven and they messed his hair line up

Had a 4: 30 appointment with Gabriel and he clearly double booked. I showed up at 4: 25 and another appointment of his showed up at 4: 30. He finished the haircut he was already working on at 5pm and let his other appointment cut in front of me without saying a word to me. I left at 5 without a haircut. I will find another barber who respects their client’ time.

My son is Autistic and it's hard to find a good barber that he likes. So I'm so happy when I to him to Herm's Barber Shop. With excellent service from all and great prices.

Alex was great with my 3yro son. With a little help from me to hold his head straight, he did a fantastic job. All of them are top notch barbers from what I saw around the shop. I posted pictures (he did exactly what I asked him to do) I'm bringing my husband here next! Loved the online booking too. Cash ONLY but there is an ATM in the shop.

Went here because it's the closest place for me and honestly, it's my new go to. Great people and great service. Not much more you can ask for so I'm definitely coming back

Alex was late to an appointment by over 20 minutes. I do not live in California but I find myself at Herm's Barber Shop the random one-time-a-year I get a haircut in Cali. This is my second haircut in 2 years at this place and the second time I had to wait when I paid more for an appointment.

Herms rocks. We were in Bakersfield to do laundry coming from our mountain cabin an hour away. He gave me the best Commissioner Gordon haircut ever. Now I drive from Sherman Oaks to get my haircuts from him!

I went in and it took the barber 45 minutes to give me a fade. He was on his phone while I sat there patiently watching other barbers cut hair twice as fast. He also messed up my hair! I got a fade on my right side which looks good but the left side he started on is almost little to no hair! He didn’t seem to care and they talked down on their coworker. My experience was no where near paying him $30. Also that price is ridiculous

Been going here for over 4 years now with my sons. Best barbershop I found to cut my sons hair correctly. My boys are mixed with black so there hair texture requires a different set of skills to make it come out the way I like and Herms has them. I’m afraid to go anywhere else now
