7Awful experience. They did not accept our payment method and offered no explanation or resolution whatsoever. We asked if they could at least reschedule our pickup day but instead they handed us a brochure with a toll free number on the back to call. Save yourself the time and do not come here.
Hertz is using a public charging station for its own fleet leaving cars parked for hours after just adding a few KWh. Not only renters won’t enjoy a fully charged cars (cars were only charged up to 30%) but other EV owners can’t charge their cars. 3 out of the 4 chargers were blocked by Hertz.
Not a good experience. The office looked clean and the employees were welcoming but the system must be quite flawed. I reserved a car online but they didn’t have it when I arrived to pick it up. The agent at the counter seemed to think that it was ok to just say sorry and it was all done. He did not offer to immediately call other stores nearby to see if they had a car to fulfill my reservation. When asked if he would check with others he said that maybe he could get one 3-4hrs later. Then when I asked him to call them now, his coworker wrote down the phone number and passed it to me. Well, maybe this was just a bad day for them and they didn’t know how to handle it?
I got a wicked good deal on a rental for 12 days-I still can't believe how low the price was. The car was nice, and the folks who checked me in and out were very pleasant and helpful!
The only reason I'm giving 2 star is because the woman that checked us in the car was wonderful. Returning the car was an absolutely horrible experience. The clerk Sam was completely unhelpful, he was training a new hire so I really hope Sam isn't the benchmark on training quality applicant's for hertz. If you choose to rent from here make sure you protect yourself from the unsubstantiated hertz smoking charge apparently theyre under multiple lawsuits for this unprecedented charge, so again rent at your own risk
**update** this is alot more common than originally thought, there are multiple disputes/lawsuits out against hertz who since declaring chapter 11 have issued multiple unjust smoking fees to their rentals. Moving down to 1 star because from what we have been reading can take weeks/months to be issued the credit of $500 along with lost time filling out their countless forms and filing a written dispute. If you don't have to DONT RENT FROM HERTZ, I will never rent from them again.
There app is a pain I ask to reserve a vehicle the gave me another which was a gas gussler. Be careful one employee makes one statement on the phone but when you get to the location they say something different
