Bad Manager and customer service.never go to hertz.

12/25/2021 - The most Pathetic location, Manager, employee.looks like she and her employee had to work on the Christmas day and was very upset. I was the victim.they wanted me to show they employee id with photo and company name.my employer does not has a photo on my employee batch or anywhere else. The senseless manager only wanted my employee ID with a photo. I had my driving license which had my name and my booking was also under my name wouldn't that be enough.

If you guys logically think.why would any one carry employee ID when they are traveling for vacation?

Think before you book Hertz. Go to National, Alamo in the same location and they are really helpful and sensible.

I would like to thank the two lovely ladies that worked on the night of 12/1 after 8: 30 PM. I apologize for not remembering their names but they took their time in explaining everything about the rental options for me to ensure I was confident in the car I was going with. They made the process very simple and are a blessing to have with Hertz

WARNING: So I booked a car via AAA and the amount was $901. I get to the counter and they upgrade me without telling me. Unbelievable. They use almost the same initial billing amount of ~$900 for the upgrade cost to confuse you, so I signed it. Shame on me. Shouldn't that be disclosed? I reserved an SUV, and I got an SUV. You shouldn't be able to automatically upgrade people and double their cost without disclosing. A great way to rip off customers, and hit your sales numbers. This business practice will catch up with a company.

Instead of paying $250 daily, now I get charged $500 a day.

I have never / ever seen anything like this. Truly an amazing scam.

Please review the sales practices of the San Fransisco Airport location.

Given that the rental car experience bar is not a high one, everyone at Hertz was still kind, helpful, and fair. 5 stars for my rental experience with them.

I was forced to purchase a liability insurance supplement to get the vehicle.
I arrived at 2AM at the San Francisco airport supposedly just to pick up the vehicle I had fully prepaid.
The lady named Ali, at the counter refused to deliver the vehicle unless I purchase a liability supplemental insurance.
After arguing with her for more than 25 minutes, knowing that this insurance is optional, I agreed to buy that insurance and get out of there ASAP.
The sales rep used a nasty strategy to get advantage of the situation, apart from providing false information about the rent requirements just to get a commission.

New Hertz is not old Hertz. Did not have car I reserved - no employees (regular or gold desk) were authorized to do anything to help, and when I asked to escalate I just got a thumb pointing at a manager email address. Those poor employees clearly have seen this before - Hertz charging for more, giving less, and leaving those on the front line empowered only to hear about it, not do anything about it. Only reason I gave them 2* was that they had a car at all.

I let them know that I’m a long-standing gold member and was unhappy paying premium prices for an old 45k mi non-premium car and asked them to pass that along but so far I’ve heard nothing from anyone of authority and don’t expect to. There’s only so long that new Hertz can trade on the premium position of old Hertz but providing barely commodity service. It’s a shame.

Oh and I fully expect someone from corporate to respond with “we’re sorry, get in touch with us” - well no thanks I already tried to talk to you guys multiple times… my time is not a free commodity you guys get to draw on any further. You know who I am, my name is attached to this review! If you want to address this and keep a customer you know how.

HERTZ IS A SCAM! Please do not rent cars with Hertz! They stole $1800 dollars from me, for the 1-day lease. I wrote messages to them and they don't reply.

No line and agent was very helpful. Airport needs a little signage for those who are not well traveled. As convenient as possible given the large airport. Using Air Train better than the busses at other airports.

Excellent check on and drop off service. Easy access, plenty of desks and great selection of cars. My check in was a breeze thanks to Pushpa, she went above and beyond to expedite the process and got me a great car!
I have rented with others before and the stress of getting in a long line at a 3-4 desk company is totally eased with hertz.

I rented car from SFO airport Hertz and the car was not sanitized was really smelly from inside and was dirty all over It was already to late for us to go back to the pickup location and cancel the reservation my wife took the pictures of the car right after when we left the SFO airport.water stains were all over the cars exterior overall it was a bad experience when I called hertz and reported this incident their customer service was horrible they did not resolve the issue I don't recommend Hertz.

These guys are bad!
Horribly unfriendly unhelpful checkin with gal that said cuz Priceline I would be treated horrible even though I’m Gold member. Got charged extra on top of my Priceline prepayment without explanation.

Not enough drop off checkout people so I left car in perfect condition without a receipt. They never emailed a receipt like they said they would. Got charged $33 extra for who knows what.

Avoid this Hertz agency

Didn’t find the front desk girl to be very helpful. Interrupted me a lot and purposely didn’t address my questions. Maybe it was a bit of a language barrier but it seemed intentional. The manager that was brought in was equally unhelpful and also interrupted a lot. At the end, they didn’t have the car I booked and the “upgrade” was worse than the car I booked and I wasn’t offered and apology or alternative.

The pick up location is not at the airport! Regardless of what Hertz representatives say (Alexa, Janet), it is off site. There is no get out of the plane and step into your car service at this airport location.

Originally they were going to give us some dumb Kia Soul (no offense to y’all Kia lovers out there). But then we got upgraded for free to brand new Honda Civic Sedan that was much nicer and more fun to drive. So that is why I gave them four stars.

I was attended by Sonjoy at the San Francisco Airport location. He had a great attitude and was super patient and helpful to myself and everyone who was in line in front of me.

It’s my third time coming here over the past months. Pricing has been fair and customer experience has been excellent every single time.

Karen and Micheal (the manager) at the San Francisco location are beyond amazing! The amount of time Karen and Micheal spent trying to help me find my ray brand glasses will make me recommend and use hertz everytime. I cant stress enough how helpful they were. They even gave me a ride to the terminal so I didn't miss my flight. Didn’t seem annoyed or a bother to them at all. Karen could of made her day easier by just giving me the form to fill out for my lost item and Micheal the manager could of gave up looking for the car the first 10 minutes. I hope every location is like this because if so hertz will always have my business! I’m still waiting on hertz to send me my survey for this location, but couldn’t help to feel the need to mention how great they were. Also returning the rental was quick easier and I paid exactly what I was expected to pay.

This hurts rental car location at the San Francisco airport was nice the customer service was nice I had no issues at this particular Hertz reservation center.
