This Hertz location used to be my overall favorite rental car option in the high desert.
It has been a few years since I last needed to rent but when a recent need arose it was a no-brainer to reserve with them.

Upon arrival, we received a very friendly greeting from both staffs. While one young lady promptly began our check-in process, the other was easing certitude with her humor and engaging convo. By the time that a mistake on my reservation was found that might've prevented my rental, they had discussed agreed upon then offered options to help me so smoothly that I almost missed the issue.
I drove away pleased to find the experience as I remembered it.

Yesterday, a week later, I return with another reservation hoping to rent the same but expecting another vehicle due to the availability

I have to say that typically rental car experiences are nightmares but these young ladies that work in the office here in Apple Valley are very accommodating, helpful, patient and have charming dispositions which is very refreshing. I had so many challenges adjusting to the fancy new cars that what started out as being a joke turned into I'm sure a little bit of a frustrating situation for them but they were so sweet and they just kept their patients and helped me with such professionalism I was very impressed because customer service has been subpar at other places.

This is one the best Hertz Office (Apple Valley, CA). They are so friendly, efficient check in and out process. They make it seem less to rent a car. Thank you!

I’m a uber driver and when I need a rental I go through hertz this time I went through hertz in AppleValley being that it would be closer to home but I should have went to Inglewood to rent a car like I always done the car I was given smelled like cigarette bad and the ac didn’t work and to top it all off their was a recall on the car that not only put me and my passengers at risk than I was sent to van Nuys to exchange a car by hertz customer service and the manager said you where miss informed and I can’t help you here so I had to go to Ontario airport and the car hertz gave me their the transmission was going out I was unable to work and by the time I made it home it was 10: 00 pm

Came to Hertz in Apple Valley since it was less than 10 min away. I was given a car that had a very strong cigarette smell and a service light that was on. By the time I got home I fell nausea from the smell. I immediately called Hertz spoke to Amanda at the front desk. I told her of the issue with the smell and service light seeing how they can fix the issue. Instead I was told right away there was no more available vehicles, absolutely no help, no customer service, no concern of the situation pretty much without saying that's life get over it thats what you got now deal with it is all I needed to hear next. I go in to return their vehicle. I do get a full refund but in a day or two I get hit with a charge from hertz. Talked to Amanda again and was telling me that all that was in the receipt given to me that I should have read this known that and again I don't care attitude. Then told here's the customer service number even though there not going to really help you its there policy here it is anyway.
Called the customer service number and they refunded the charge. Charging a customer for a service they didn't get, waisted time, and on top with a horrible experience and was treated with such little regard over there was just ridiculous. Looking at the reviews now at this location Iwish I would have done that before I went there. It appears I'm not the only customer being treated in such a manner. Amanda Shame on you for treating us in this way. Customer satisfaction and maintaining of clean and up to date safe vehicles should always be the number one priority. Never again!

Made a last minute reservation, they had the correct vehicle type I requested and pick-up was less than 10 minutes. I did not like that the car had an odor like old food, and the car only had 1/4 tank of gas. I had to immediately go to the gas station to fuel up for a long trip

No walk through. No discussion of the contract. Rude and unprofessional. Car smelled weird. Unfortunately front desk employees were not very competent. They could care less. Employees of a business always take on there managers approach. Manager needs to get fired. Employees need to study more customer SERVICE techniques. Not coming back here again.

One of the ladies that works there is extremely rude. I've rented a few different times and she's been rude to me as well as other customers.

Apple Valley Hertz. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. Had a rental scheduled for pu at 5. Google says they close at 6. Not only do they close at 5 but NOBODY called to notify us that they were closing early despite having a pick up scheduled at 5. Vacation plans are all f'd up thanks to their lack of consideration. If there were negative stars. I'd give them that. They said they wouldn't charge us for that day.no $hit guys. We didn't have the vehicle because of your poor business practices. That's the absolute minimum required in their part. Disappointing.

BEST service, friendly, helpful employees, clean facility. Made my car rental needs a truly pleasant experience. Will definitely rent from here again!)

I booked a car online for the managers special. With my debit card. Payment went through. I booked in advance so I wouldn't get the weekend rate. Get to this location. And deal with a very rude girl working the front. Desk demanding a creditcard to be be put on file. I don't have a major credit card. I ask if there's anything else we can do. A deposit something along those lines. Mind you this is the managers special economy. Not a Ferrari! My account has 20,000 in it. I ended up leaving and going over to ENTERPRISE! Felt with friendly staff. And had me In a car in less then 15 mins. What a major inconvenience. I will not recommend or use hertz rental for anything ever again thank your rude employees!
