Hertz Uber, San Diego CA

Hertz are so bad. I rent a Tesla from them, They asked me to sign the contract first, But after I got the car, I found out that the car didn't have a charging cable, and the rearview mirror was faulty and couldn't be deployed normally. The Hertz staff said they only have this one and they can't do anything for me. I made an appointment for 10: 00am on the day, and waited until 3: 00pm to get the car. But the return time of the vehicle in the contract is 11: 00am.

I can’t completely blame the staff. I know a lot has to do with the system they are using. Regardless, this is the worst place to rent a car from. Literally 4 hours! And it wasn’t just me. There are like a dozen people there at any given time That’s utterly ridiculous. UBER, HERTZ, you have to figure that problem out! More people, better system, something!

These guys work really hard. They're super busy and are dealing with Uber drivers who aren't the most intelligent people in the world otherwise why would they be driving a car making pennies when they could have a real job.

I thought I’d review this place considering all the one star reviews. It was a long wait, yes. However they’re doing their job and they will get you taken care of. Customer service was great.

I wish I read the review before I go but I had appointment at 1pm and I waited 30 and talk to them they said wait outside and I waited another 30 minutes and they got mad because they said they told me to wait so why am I asking them and I said I waited a full hour and I have other-things to do. Can we do business or not they said yes and After I get the car it was dirty car. I couldn't understand If was picking my friends car or rental car and they told me it's your choice take it or leave it and I left. How long will this go because they are a lot of bad review.

To start off I arrived at Hertz at 10: 30am before my appointment time, then while speaking to a representative one on one, they decide to bounce back and forth customer to customer without getting they’re undivided attention which was completely rude. Car wasn’r ready, they had to still clean and vacuum it which by this time I’m already 2 hours into waiting and getting my rental. Super unprofessional.

They dont tale same day appointments for gas cars and upsell you to eletric for 200 after they know youre stranded there. If i could give no stars I would

This has been the biggest waste of time ever. I waited three hours to be told I need to come back the following day then I came back and waited two hours to be told there’s no car available and wasted a total of four Uber rides. Do not go here even if they tell you you have a reservation. I found a company called Rent-A-Car for Uber in Chula Vista and it solved my issue within 45 minutes. Screw this place

ONE OF THE WORST customer service experiences of my life!

Uber promo free ride wouldn't work, had to take 2 different ubers to get here only to find out they closed before my appointment time!

1.5 hrs, $45 later praying they will change their ways. Very horrible attitude from the older man parking attendant. Not a care for the trouble I had to go through, just a "leave us alone" attitude.

Don't trust your car rental needs to these idiots. They gave my car away, despite having made what they call a "reservation. " I guess the only thing I reserved was a huge waste of time. They don't even answer the phone. Called for hours.

I spent $500 to rent a tesla model 3 and they didnt even connect the car to my uber app so i can use the car. They said i can call Uber and they can connect the car to the app. That never happened when i called uber.i pretty much ended up wasting $500 to rent a car i couldnt use to drive for uber

There very short handed of staff but they do there best. This people that works are here difineltly 5 To me.

I give a 5stars review only for the Hertz staff Michael H.being efficient, helpful and patient. He should be recognized by Hertz for his extra efforts. The same for most of the other Hertz staff on-site put in overworked and demanding circumstances.

However, this Uber car rental location is a nightmare for wait times.

Yes customer service is horrible! Never see you on your reservation time the staff is not helpful or informative! Fiqures run by uber!

Why is Hertz/Uber still using this facility? This is my first experience at this location and the service and people attitude is terrible! There’s zero customer service here. I arrived at 4: 45 on Thursday July 29,2022 and the didn’t want to help me. The fricking store hours of operation are from 9am to 5pm.
It didn’t matter that on the same day I went there twice. After spending over $60 in Uber rides to get to that store I couldn’t get the rental car. I’m booking with Avis now. No big deal. No reason to waist time with laisy people like this. Just stay away from that store until is close for good!
