Highland Valley Vineyards, Escondido CA

One of the best wineries in this area! The seating area is looking over amazing views! The owner is so nice and friendly. And we can bring our own snacks to pair with their delicious wine! I'm definitely coming back, and I highly recommend this Winery for a relaxing wine day with spectacular views!

Fantastic all around, from the owners to the patrons and especially the wine. Skip the bigger places with signs up and down the highways, this place is THE place you want to go for relaxation, good conversation, great views, and better wine fermented with care. Not a lot of space, so keep the family at the Disney parks (though families are welcome), this is good for adults on a mission to relax and the vibe is obvious. Come chill on the hill and look through The Valley in awe with a glass in your hand and support a fantastic small winery that has the perfect spot to escape daily life.

Wonderful local vineyard and tasting room. Wine is good, view and ambience is SPECTACULAR. Highly recommended.

A must visit when in SD or nearby. Gorgeous setting. Live music (not too loud) on a Sunday evening when we walked in. Run by a lovely couple who make the wines (many award winning, all fantastic) and they both do all of the serving and hospitality too. Bring some snacks and come enjoy this oasis. You won’t regret it.

We finally stopped in yesterday after having on our list for a long time. If you’re a fan of hearty reds, this is your place! The petite Syrah was very dry and flavorful and I loved it! Amazing views of the valley and the cool house across the road.

Go for the view and stay for the wine. Or go for the wine and stay for the view. Either way an amazing place. Small and quaint the quality if the wine is outstanding. Made in very small batches with care. All red wines. The port is well worth the trip!

The Christmas market was fantastic. Great good, fun crafts, amazing wine. The owners mingled with their dog, Nate, and they were very friendly people. Can't wait to come back!

Great wine and best panoramic view. Members invited to wine event every quarter with nice lunch and new wine tasting.

Small husband-and-wife owned and operated winery in Escondido area. Cute patio for tasting. Wines in this area are ‘emerging’ so this is a fun place with helpful owners and staff
