Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast, San Diego CA

The Hillcrest B&B is in a very convenient location - close to restaurants, etc. Ann (the owner) was very helpful and accommodating.

Great location. Close to the zoo, Sea World, restaurants. Great and super friendly host. Celebrated our anniversary there.

I cannot recommend Hillcrest House enough! If you are staying in San Diego you shouldn't pass up the opportunity to stay here.

We had a lovely stay at Hillcrest House Bed and Breakfast. Ann provided excellent customer service. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were quiet. There was great parking available on property. The water in the shower was plentiful and warm. Seating in the common areas was ample and comfortable. Continental breakfast was fresh and yummy. The location was very close to the zoo and the baseball stadium. We were walking distance to many nice restaurants. My favorite part of our stay was sitting on the front porch in the morning enjoying a cup of tea.

Great spot! Enjoyed my stay here immensely, Ann is wonderful and very thoughtful. The b&b itself is charming and homey. Next time I'm in San Diego, I know where I will be staying!

I had a wonderful time at Ann's Hillcrest House. Ann was there to greet me and show me around when I arrived. I stayed in the La Jolla Suite and enjoyed the big tub, and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and I had a nice time in the morning chatting with other guests to hear what they've seen and to pick up ideas for where to go. The location is excellent to visit the Zoo and La Jolla, and had an easy time parking on-property every night. All-in-all, it was an awesome place to stay!

Ann has and runs a lovely home, conveniently located. We needed a comfortable bed to crash into after taking in a local show, and that's what we got. Ann was gracious enough to upgrade our room for us as well. If you're looking for the vibes of "staying with a friend in their cozy house" rather than a standard hotel, this is your place. We'd happily return, and probably will.

The bungalow served as the perfect down time retreat and get together prep kitchen. It’s in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood that’s not to far from anything. Would recommend and I will be back.

Very nice, clean and great location. Ann was a great host. Having healthy and delicious breakfast every morning was a treat, especially her scrumptious mini muffins. We will definitely return.

Ann was a great host. The room was clean, a little small, but had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and suited our stay well. Off -street parking. The location was great. Within walking distance of many exceptional restaurants. You can eat French, Italian, Indian, Greek, American, and Asian. I would love to stay here again! Hope to see you again real soon, Ann!

Loved my very last min stay at Hillcrest House! I booked the Coronado Room, which I knew would be small - and it was great for the night. Location is awesome. Walking to tons of bars and restaurants and ten mins from airport. Bed and pillows excellent. Plenty of coffee in room and a healthy light breakfast to get the day started. Ann is a sweetheart. Can’t wait to go back.

My spouse, Jonathan, and I visited San Diego and stayed with Ann for three nights. It was the best decision! Ann gave us some local places to check out and we really got to know the city in a short stay.

The beds were super comfortable and the breakfast kick started our day. Her homemade muffins are delicious and everyday there was a different kind to try.

We highly recommend a stay with Ann at her bed and breakfast, for both first time traveller's to San Diego and repeat visitors. My spouse and I are already planning our next trip there. Thanks Ann!

We have never stayed at a B & B before. It was very clean, close to everything, parking easy, host amazing and we would definitely come back.

I can’t express how impressed I was with this place. It was exactly what I needed and did so much exploring around Hillcrest then of course slept for 10 hours. Clearly the bed was comfortable haha! I loved the mini muffins. I don’t want to recommend cuz I want this place to be my secret haha but don’t worry. All my friends and family will come through to stay with Ann someday. Thanks again Ann! You are doing it all- concierge extraordinaire:)

My husband and I came for a four days get away. We got the Coronado room, jacuzzi is big enough for both of us, bed comfortable and stable if you know what I mean. Everything is closer walking distance. Ann is an awesome, loving hostess

I stayed one night in the Balboa B room, and it was perfect size for a solo traveler. My room was in the back of the property with a view of the back parking spots. There are many good restaurants and cafes within a couple blocks. It was quiet at night, and the bed was very comfortable. The inn was clean and charming, and Ann, the owner, was very communicative and accommodating of special requests. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I just returned from a ten day vacation to San Diego and had the best time ever with many thanks to Innkeeper Ann Callahan! Ann was so helpful in recommending restaurants, museums, and beaches and even suggested the best best days to take in some museums.
