Hilltop Deli, El Cajon CA

Bought a sandwich for lunch to take out. The sandwich was excellent and included with it was half a kosher pickle and the choice of a garden salad or pasta salad, probably two cups or more in size. I chose the pasta salad and it came topped with a nice dressing. I shared lunch with a friend and it was more than enough for both of us with pasta salad left over. I shall be returning! You can dine in or take out.

I ordered a build-your-own breakfast sandwich with no meat with butter plus paid an additional $2 for avocado to be added. I received a sandwich with avocado and butter, no eggs. Thick layer of butter with a thin layer of avocado between two pieces of bread.

Great place for me to stop by during lunch! I’ve only tried their sandwiches and pasta so far and it’s very good and highly recommend it. It’s a family run business and the lady who is always there is very nice and always has the right recommendations.

I gave this deli a 3 star rating due to customer service. The food is great but I feel the service could have been better. The lady taking payment was fine but the one in charge of making the sandwiches wouldn't serve the BLT because they didn't "have enough bacon" and seemed to be bothered that we ordered because "there was a big order" she needed to take care of.

Great food, quick service, and wonderful staff! Highly recommend checking it out when you're in the area!

The sandwiches are amazing and the price is great too, you go to subway and get a below average sandwich for like 10-12$, you get quality ingredients in your sandwich + a salad for the same price.

Their pasta salad with the homemade ranch is worth coming here.on top of that, the sandwiches are delicious and the family that runs it are great people. A big sandwich and pasta salad is only $10! One of the best delis in East County, in my opinion.

Great selection of quality food and awesome people. Definitely love the sides especially the pasta salad and the sandwiches are quite delicious no matter which one you choose.

This place is absolutely great. Just stopped in today. Lady at the front was so kind. I'm a delivery driver and this place had absolutely everything. Fresh.

Great food, and always friendly service. Nancy is always cheerful and knows my order when I walk in! Definitely a must if your in the area.

I've been reading here for years and seen 4 ownership changes. Last years was horrible. The new owner cars about her business and is very friendly. I once again recommend hilltop deli.
