Hilmar Cheese Company Visitor Center reviews
20The quality and variety of cheeses are phenomenal but the kitchen and the visitor center is not good at all. The overly sweet honey chicken pizza on microwave bread is really bad. You need to hire a professional to redo your menu. You have lots of potential, lots of resources, and lots of fresh farms of everything near by. Very disappointed.
Wonderful experience. Learned a lot about cheese making. Great gift shop. Be sure to try the cheese soup!
We were a little confused on how to order our lunch as most people were in line to purchase cheese and gifts. But the sandwiches were really good and filling. Gift shop and cheese processing displays are interesting. Overall a good visit.
Perfect in and out timing from last 4 months, They never take over 1 hours for loading. 10/10
Best cheese and best grilled cheese sandwiches, best ever cheese soup. Nice gift shop area.
Had a good lunch. My daughter picked some items from the gift shop for her birthday, cheese, jam, two plushies and a cheese slicer.
Cool exhibit and it was neat to look in on the workers through the glass. The sandwiches were a huge disappointment. The shop only had a few cheeses made in-house. All the gourmet cheeses were imported. The ice cream in the case wasn't even made there. Just standard Dryers tubs. Couldn't find milk from the plant. Overall, a big disappointment. Won't be going back.
When picking load.they strictly go by appointment time don't come early.the turn u away unless u are local drivers.i had to wait 35 minutes to get through security.and the place sticks to high heaven.not TRUCKER friendly.port a port for us.
Great food the looks may be deceiving but great food friendly to been stopping for 10 years
Learn a lot a trip I should have had took in elementary school but glad I took it as a adult. I was able to indulge in excellent cheese great lunch with awesome dessert Landscaping with Beyond awesome my service dog able to experience the outside waterfalls and enjoyed herself to the fullest.
What a treasure in this small town. Very informative and well laid out. We learned quite a lot. The food was excellent! Very friendly staff.
Always friendly, great products, kid friendly, always clean, great place to take photo's.oh and the food at the deli bar is always so good! Love going their for lunch.
I've lived in California my whole life but had never been here so decided to stop. I wish I was hungry then because I would have eaten at their cafe. Instead I purchased a couple cheeses for future enjoyment.
Because of covid this place is not nearly as fun to go to and visit as it once was. Hilmar Cheese is still a wonderful place to go and get cheese, ice cream, brownies and different wonderful things to eat.
This was my first time coming to this place. I like it kid friendly, food was ok and pretty water fountain.
Took my little girl in one of her friends to hilmar cheese company today and had a phenomenal time. It was an awesome way to spend the day and the girls loved it. If you do nothing else there get the bacon barbecue club, good Lord sweet baby Jesus that sandwich is good!
I was actually here delivering a load so mainly this will be for truck drivers. The check in was pretty seamless, And easy. Once at the dock went and checked in at the door to the left and was unloaded quickly. One of the fastest places I have been.
Sad they are not open for full service yet. We had to eat outside and luckily it was a nice day. The gift shop part was up to usual good standards, but didn't feel the same. Will go back again in few months if they have full service.
Great selection of different cheeses. They also have a wonderful display about making cheese. If you are on Highway 99 it's worth the 4 mile detour. They have a cafe also.
