Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa reviews
18 Customer service/Front desk: 5. Very helpful.
Location: 4. Close to Costa Mesa mall (South Coast Plaza) and a quite place after a long day.
Room: 4. Old but keep clean.
Cleaner screw: 4. Did a good job. Please try to vacuum hairs on the ceiling (restroom) from previous guests and have extra towels for the long stayed guests.
Bed: 4 (Old).
Bathroom: 4.
Parking: Parking should be free to Diamond members.
Service to Elite member: 4. We love to see more friendly and especially with a true smile from the staffs, to start out the day and when come back to hotel at the end of long day. Life is not fair but we recognize the TRUTH service of great people that we encounter each day. The lady services at the Starbucks was wonderful. I came to pickup my bottles water each morning, since only received two bottles when check in. Also, they have happy hours available for those looking forward to kickback… most of the hotels food were not up to my expectations and costly. Local foods I prefer to seek for.
Elite check in early/Upgrade: No charge like other locations. Only few of Hilton hotels are charged the service to Elite member, which should not be.
Executive lounge: Not available. After the COVID, looks like some Hilton hotels were no longer offer Executive lounge service for the elite members. Lots of cutback.
Over all rating is: 4.
Great location and amenities. Parking is a little tight late at night. Pictures are from the balcony over the pool.
Amazing customer service, the room was clean. The meeting room was set up nicely and the staff was pretty awesome!
I really love the ambiance of the place, great service and the staff are very friendly.it's very worth it
Nice Hotel! Looks cool when you walk-in! The rooms are very bland, clean but not anything to rave about! Service and really good as well as the food! Overall a nice place and would stay here again.
Close to John Wayne airport in Santa Ana but it was an airport that was far more expensive to fly through than LAX. The Orange county fair was down the road that week though. My wheelchair was lost by the airline on the way in but the hotel gave me one to use while I stayed there.
Rooms are well kept and clean. The staff was competent and courteous. The restaurant was nice and the prices were very reasonable. The event facilities were very good. As of my stay yesterday everything is just as good as it was a
year ago.
My go to for a short break to relax. Excellent food and bar. Beautiful inside and you can great prices on line!
Im extremely disappointed with the service I received during my stay at a 4-star hotel.
I reported a faulty toilet light, but nobody came to fix it.
Furthermore, i had difficulty reaching guest and room service through the phone.
On the 5th day of stay, i noticed that no deeply cleaned by housekeeping, they only replace towel, no others refill, no bed sheet changed.
I would appreciate if hotel management can provide better service for long stay customer not because they paid already!
Meanwhile, Starbucks and Bristol Palms Bar service are good!
Would not recommend staying here for sports teams. Bringing in food to eat on the lobby is not an option either. Hotel is not accommodating and charge a $75 fee even with a 24 hour notice to checkout. Room check in wasn’t until 7pm because rooms were not ready.
Checking in was a nightmare for a corporate booking, payment terminals one failed the other charged but the screen didn't work. No cleaning of room unless you ask not even towels for a longer stay. Food at the lobby restaurant mediocre at best. No valet parking, self park for hefty fee. Parking structure crowded, Park in the open top floor exposed. Elevators confusing and doors close too quickly. Confusing entrance from parking into hotel long hallways that are empty. Not the best experience. Rooms are dated, everything feels and looks old. Clumsy TV remote with no hotel system and just on the dresser on a stand. Cables exposed.
Rooms size is good but it was noisy, the pillows weren’t comfortable, the good thing is that it’s near the shopping area
Zero star review wasn't available unfortunately. Front desk staff was beyond rude and didn't even acknowledge Hilton Honors status. The Hilton Brand is subpar as a whole now and this hotel is a direct reflection. I've never been treated this badly at a Bonvoy property.perhaps time to fully make the switch. Yet another Hilton property that I wouldn't stay at for free. Do better management and hold your employees to the 4 star standard you claim!
Easy parking for John Wayne but the shuttle does run every 30 minutes compared with other lots that run more frequently
We just stood at this location for 5 nights, we stay at Hilton and other great hotels frequently because ours kids travel ball. This was the first experience where we had our personal property stolen (gold chain with medallion) from out of our room while we were away at a game, members of housekeeping staff came in our room to clean change sheets etc.and were the only people that had entered room while we were gone, we didn’t know that they would be in our room while were away and we did not order them to clean our room, after taking this up with Victoria in management, we were told that the person that cleaned our room was trust worthy and nothing was going to be done. We asked for upper management or corporate number where we could file a claim or complaint about the matter and was told no that they could not give us the number because they did their diligence. We contacted Costa Mesa Police Department and had them come down to hotel to file a report. After speaking with the officer he made us aware that these kind of thefts are starting to happen in hotels where valuable items are being stolen from guests. This incident is far from being over as we will look into legal action this week if the Hilton management does not cooperate with us behind this matter. Don’t trust these people in your room or near your belongings there is thieves working in this hotel. Worst experience and we travel often.
I stay here quite often.
Rooms are nice and clean.
Location I love. I am giving Service 5 stars because of a great Supervisor. Her name is NINA SUMMERS.
She was very helpful with an issue I had and she solved it right away. She was approachable and genuine in her way of problem solving. Nina is the perfect textbook example of great costumer service.
Hilton is very lucky to have Nina as part of their team.
Thank You Nina.

Property has gone downhill quick. Unsafe, crowded parking garage and hostile treatment of Diamond members. No longer justifies the exorbitant prices. Take your business elsewhere.
The hotel and the rooms felt like an old 80's casino.
The entire place is in dire need of an update, and they charge 30 bucks a night to park to boot.
