A nice place to have curries and handmade bread. The Chicken Tikka Marsala is delicious, as is the Mango Yogurt drink. Had a nice meal there!

Terrible food and very poor service. I have no words to describe our disappointment. The fish curry had a pink color. My husband had one bite and couldn't tell whether it was actually fish. We ordered lamb curry but got chicken curry that was tasteless. We had to ask several times for the waiter to brings us serving spoons. There was nothing good to say about the food. When we asked for the bill, the waiter could actually see we didn't eat but never bothered to ask. We graciously paid our bill and went somewhere else. I do not recommend this place. Wouldn't eat there even if the food was free.
Since they have high ratings, I am wondering if they had a different cook or why the food was so bad. Feeling very disappointed.

Found pieces of plastic in the bread.

Looks like paneer or coconut but doesn’t fall apart and seems most likely plastic!

Oh my Gawd, YUM-YUM! Today, I decided to branch out and try a new Berkeley Indian restaurant for my usual order of vegetarian “Saag Paneer”. I tried Himalayan Flavors because this place also has wide variety of the steam dumplings - Indian Himalayan Momo on the menu. Now I know Momo are not just from Nepal. I have been trying to find a restaurant that gets my need for hot spicy well-seasoned Indian flavors. I am so glad I took the risk.

Himalayan Flavors got my order right. The onion kulcha is so moist and delectable. I got a little educated on Northern Indian cuisine. They like the chili peppers. I will not be going back to my previous go-to. I even appreciate that the to-go containers for my entree are in air-tight sealed plastic like Tupperware.

Very well kept and convenient place. They provide big meals and for economical rates. We enjoyed the meals a lot and the staff members were very attentive and informative. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant was comfortable, warm and rustic. A few regulars enjoying their dinner. Felt like I had walked into a Himalayan Cheers.

Had the chicken chow mein and chicken jhol momo. The tomato chutney soup was spicey and tasty. The momos were good when they were hot but were heavy dense hockey pucks of dough when they cooled off. The chicken chow mein had dried left over tandori chicken pieces with light, chow mein noodles a little thicker than instant ramen. It was greasy with hints of cilantro and green onions. The chow mein looked good on Yelp but tasted like doctored up left overs. Both were adorned with edible orchids.

The best part of the meal was the tomato chutney soup. Meal was average and priced well with a Groupon coupon but not at regular full price.

If you want to have an inexpensive but satisfying chow mein, try King Dong. Their chicken chow mein is delicious with fresh, succulent and juicy chicken and their noodles are a cross between Shanghai & hand pulled noodles for a third less.

Food was awesome. Service was terrible. We had to get up multiple times to request things like forks, water and items we ordered that did not show up

Absolutely fantastic. Stopped in while visiting from Colorado and had one of the BEST lunches I’ve had in a while. Sooo delicious.

This restaurant is my absolute favorite!
It's right down the street from my house.
The people are very friendly. But the food,
is to die for!

It's the worst Nepali restaurant I have ever been too.we ordered chicken momo and chicken chowmein both dishes were undercooked. Momo had no taste no salt no any flavor like how nepali momo should taste like. Service was horrible too. We felt like they knew how bad their food taste thats why they never came to the table for anything
We were so dissapointed from this place
Zero stars if possible

Pleasant & welcoming dining area with ethnic motif. We were only diners, so we got excellent service. Food is a cross between Thai & Indian with aromatic & spicy flavors. Naan was hot off the grill. Lamb was tender and lean. There are numerous vegetarian dishes.

Indo-Nepalese cuisine in a classy setting.

Parking: There is a lot next to the restaurant with several spots reserved for customers. Plenty of space on a weekend, though I went after noon.

Interior: Classy South Asian decor with some beautiful artwork around. The tables are largely geared towards smaller crowds with just a few for more than two people. There is also bar seating.

Service: Polite, but not the most responsive. I ran out of water several times despite coming in at an off-hour.

Food: A mix of North Indian with neighboring countries, such as Bhutanese and Nepalese. We had some of the traditional Indian restaurant food like the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Palak Paneer. Both dishes are good but not exceptional - rich in flavor, filling, appropriately spicy. Also had the datshi, a Bhutanese dish, for the first time. Interesting taste of spicy and sour mix of lentil and cauliflower. Unlike a lot of Indian dishes this one did not sit heavy in my stomach.

Price: Not the cheapest, but I've paid more for Indian food, felt the portion was worthwhile for what I paid. The restaurant also offers plenty of discount via Groupon and Yelp, check those out.

All in all, a good if not totally memorable place for a South Asian meal.

Great food, plenty of vegetarian items. They have a nice banquet room if you want to bring a larger party.

Very tasty food and a friendly place. It’s worth visiting just for the naan, though all the other dishes have had great flavor as well.

First time to try this restaurant, and I quite enjoyed the evening. Good was good. Service was fine. Surrounding was cozy.

The lentil soup was delicious. The Nepalese bone-in goat curry was wonderfully complex, the palak paneer was served with nice creamy and tasty spinach and paneer cheese.
