HiroNori Craft Ramen reviews
18Yes! They are open during shelter in place! Instead of ordering via uber eats, I came in person to place my order because I noticed my favorite chicken and kinoko cream sauce wasn't an option. It is though! Perfect! I recommend adding extra udon for $3 because portion size became two days meal, worth it. Free appetizer for pick up! Tempura gyoza was still crispy upon arrival home, an hour later.
UPDATE (2021) : Manager personally called an apologized for salty soup. Decided to give the place another try. Staff was nice, especially the person who took my order, Jacqueline.
Got tonkotsu and a shoyu- got the shoyu just in case tonkotsu was salty again. Both were good- and not unbearably salty like the first time! Got to go and waited 30 minutes but it was a Friday night so was understandable. Definitely had it again after this visit.
This location tends to be busier than their other location but the hours are longer. Staff are nice and professional in both locations.
(Dec. 2020 Review) : Was really excited to try this place, but sadly slightly disappointed. I ordered online and they never had contacted me about when my order was ready. I had to call multiple times only for them to say it had been ready- not sure for how long.
Broth in tonkotsu ramen was too salty that we couldn't finish it. The toppings were good quality- but a salty broth took away from the flavor of the overall dish.
Service staff are always very nice. However, food was awful and lacking quality with this experience yesterday. It was so bad that it is necessary to comment. It just looked old and not fresh at all. They did not have several toppings available. The food was inedible. Wait times are ridiculous. I'm not sure what the hype is all about. The Ramen was really just decent. It was not worth our drive. Maybe they are understaffed there because there was also a long wait for this horrible food as well.
We came here as it’s close to our hotel and seems to have good reviews.
It has outdoor seating and tables are quite far apart. We ordered the usual Tonkotsu ramen and Shoyu Ramen so we can compare to other ramen places we had been in the past.
Frankly the ramen is good but not the best we had. Obviously everyone has their favorite ramen but this one didn’t impress us.
We have always eaten takeout because of COVID, but today we tried it in person and of course it was much better eating it fresh! They also gave me extra pork. Score!
Hands down the best Ramen in the OC. That's pretty much all you need to know. The chicken is also amazing but you're not going to HiroNori for some fried bird bits. I recommend getting the Tonkotsu as it's topped with the tastiest pork.
Pro tip: if you want to eat there I would go to their site and add your name before you get there. You can cut down on your waiting time.
This ramen place is amazing. The Pork chashu was so flavorful and tender. Personally, I really like the thinker cut noddles.
I came to this place when we were deep into the pandemic with my mother, and it was a truly amazing food experience. Neither her or I had experienced such well crafted ramen. If you go here, you MUST get Fried Chicken AND the Pork Buns. Everyone I have gone with since that first time adore the pork puns.
I normally don’t eat ramen; i prefer pho. Food was great! This is my new go-to spot for ramen. Unfortunate that the waitlist is always long. I recommend signing up ahead of time.
Visiting from out of state and wanted to try a popular ramen spot. This food is absolutely delicious! Waited about an hour to eat, but it was absolutely worth it. Thanks for savory food!
Good service. Long line even after 8 pm. I was grateful the store helped me find credit card and that they have security cameras. Outdoor dining has huge area for dinning. The plaza has many parking space. The ramen itself is very good. It is the best I have tried in USA. I have been eating ramen in Boston, NYC, Orange County, SF etc. Micheline guide is quite accurate. I had vegan option because I had dashi allergy. I also liked the fried rice with spicy tuna, although it is a bit on the heavy side. Vegan soup was a bit bland at first but with garlic sauce it is amazing. Ramen is soft but not soggy. I am used to more firm ones in Tokyo or NYC. They make their own soup, ramen and all the seasoning. Highly recommended.
The best ramen in OC for sure. The depth of the soup, the noodles, the chashu everything is so perfect. If you have not tried it then you are missing out. Tonkatsu is the best. Must visit.
Our go to ramen spot. 99% of the time it’s on point, but to be honest, once in a blue moon it’s a little salty. They sometimes forget to put sauces that you pay extra for in your bag. Other than a few rare times, it’s always very good. We’ve had ramen all over Asia and some pretty famous ones in Japan, but this place is without a question the best we’ve had. Still looking for a 5 star place, but this one is close.
We tried this place for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. I am vegetarian and the vegan soup was delicious. Will definitely go back. Tip: add your name to wait list an hour to 45 mins before you are heading there.
Y'all, should stop by this place! And try their special craft ramen. The IPA echigo beer was smooth, I really like it. Their appetizer, crispy rice tuna was awesome. And the last, spicy cold noodle ramen, mmmph I can't explain it. Just try it by yourself.
Great place for ramen! My niece gets the vegan ramen, I got the Tonkatsu ramen. Ordered the small spicy tuna bowl and a regular chicken bowl as well in our party of 4. Chicken took a while to come out, but they gave us a discount. Everything was delicious.
I do like that you can put your name on the waiting list online. We were in Laguna Niguel and placed our name on the wait list. Perfect timing, they had a table ready for us as we arrived 30 minutes after.
I was excited to try this ramen place. There service was quick and friendly but their food was mediocre. My pork belly was mostly fat and my soup was incredibly oily. I was not too impressed by their ramen. There restaurant was a little cramped but I like that they have outdoor seating.
Ramen must be perfect. The final touch is missing. It must be garlic and hot sauce. Something wasn’t right. Otherwise almost perfect. Floor was dirty.
