Hodad’s is an essential Ocean Beach Experience. Come hungry and try not to cry when you can’t finish your onion rings because you’re too full. There’s something here for everyone. I go out of my way to stop at this burger joint every time I’m in town, and I’ve never been disappointed. Five stars, A+, blah blah. Get in here!

It was wonderful. More food than you think you are going to get by a lot. We had seen it on Diners Driveins and Dives a few years ago and put it on our bucket list. Well worth the planning and wait. Pam

This place is always packed. It takes an hour to order and then another hour to get your burger at your table. I didn't think the burger was all that great either. It's piled high with toppings which is fun but the actual meat is just okay and the buns get soaked in grease. The atmosphere is really cool though.

What a great time! The staff are friendly and very polite. The burgers and shakes are delicious, and were brought to us with a quickness! I can see why it's popular. Highly recommended!

I can't say enough about this place, the food is amazing. The staff is very prompt and helpful. The prices for the food that you receive is spectacular, I love this place and go there as often as possible

Let the tourists line up at their burger place of choice, because the locals know this is THE place for the best burger in town. Shakes are amazing as well as there's always an extra scoop of ice cream hanging off of the side of the vessel. Come during the week for easy access, but the wait in line on the weekend is still worth it. You can try to down a double burger, but a single and a shake should fill you up for half a day.

Wonderful staff, super great greasy food. Highly recommend if you are not watching what you eat. Perfect for your cheat day! Restrooms are not kept up. However it is such a unique experience you should definitely go.

Probably the best Burgers in town. Sometimes a wait but worth it. Take your tourist friends there.lol the burgers are great.

THE BEST strawberry malt! Really good food in a cute beachy spot. A burger and fries basket worth having. Any burger lover would be happy here. Hard working staff keep the line moving.

Wow. Incredible. Amazing food, with a fun, friendly staff. All servers are very attentive and quick. There's not one single thing I could nitpick about this experience. Clean, quick, one of a kind burger shop. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a great burger.

A must if your in the area! They are always busy though, we went in the late afternoon and got seated right away, times closer to lunch and supper there was a line almost around the block! Best burger I've ever had

I was in San Diego for work and decided to drive along the coast. A student in my class recommended this place. Wow what a burger! A bit messy but tasty. Friendly staff and fantastic decorations. Definitely a local food stop. Strongly recommend you stop by when in town.

Went with my dad and husband and burgers were really good. Really messy and really good. Not cheap but pretty average for area. We had the single bacon cheese burger and split it. We ordered one order of frings (french fries & onion rings) it was more than enough for the three if us. We ordered a strawberry shake for desert again big enough for 3, kinda wish we had gotten cholate instead. Only two reasons for the four stars instead if 5, first was the ceiling was gross.not so much the wires just stuck up there but the dust hanging off them was pretty nasty.and the second reason is that one if the waitress was kinda snotty.
