Every time I come to San Diego, I make sure I stop by Hodad's, One of the best burgers in the area.

Food is good but Kyle the manager is a regulator.
Nothing against the place, but if you want to give good customer service at least make the people who buy food there feel as if they have some value. I'll be contacting Lexi the owner of hodads

Dined on 11/27/2021 for lunch and ordered the Guido Burger with fries which was juicy and delicious with the spicy brown mustard. My friend ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and he was very pleased with his choice also. The atmosphere has a fun college vibe with great background music that is not so loud you can have a conversation. It was nice to meet the owner and let him know we love his dining establishment! Thank you for adding a pleasant dining memory to our San Diego vacation!

Very good food. Maybe don't come on Friday night, had a long wait and service felt very motivated to get us out of there.

Frank is a super friendly man, he has great customer service skills. Turkey burger for me and Hodad's burger for my hubby. 1st time there and won't be our last!

The service is amazing. Super friendly people. The food was perfect. I ate till I felt sick and kept eating. The wait time was surprisingly short and the food was very well made.

Better than Macdonald's but not by much.

It's a meh place with rude waitresses who keep forgetting your order, and act as if it's your fault. Also the chef doesn't know the difference between french fries and potato wedges. Their french fries will make the french want to kill themselves. The veggie burger was a torture and the grilled chicken burger is boiled chicken meat, with veggies cut the size appropriate for rhinos.
The best part of the meal was the beer, which you can buy at a gas station for $1.

HONESTLY THE BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Truly they have the freshest ingredients! The music was annoying though just with how loud it was and the fact i had to yell over to my date five inches away but quality food!

Service was fast and professional! We order the Guido & a single Cheeseburger. Food was amazing!

I didn't mind the wait in line, I was expecting that but waiting 45 minutes after being seated for someone to even take our drink order was unacceptable. And they acted like they were doing US a huge favor.after our meal (which came pretty fast and was a good burger) we waited another 30 minutes before I had to walk around looking for our waiter to get our check.no burger is worth all that.

Tried it one time before but in oceanside, I remembered it was a good burger, so this time I took the family. Wife got a single patty which she didn't finish but thoroughly enjoyed. We shared fries since it was big enough to be a meal with a side of ranch and BBQ sauce. The ranch was tasty and a good consistency. The BBQ was tangy and smokey sweet. They also have ketchup and hot sauce. My daughter got a chicken sandwich which was devoured. She said it was good size and had a nice crunch and taste. My son got a bacon double cheeseburger plain and he was a bite or 2 from completely eating the whole burger. He really liked it. I got a bacon double cheeseburger with everything. The burger was ridiculous to hold and bite into. So I would probably just recommend gettin a single unless you got the stomach for it. I had a bite or 2 left but didn't really eat too many of the fries. I really enjoyed the burger its probably one of my personal favorites. The burger patty is thick juicy and flavorful, the cheese is cooked melted to perfection and has that little crunch from being cooked and saltiness from the bacon compliment the way it all blends well together especially when you bite into it with that pickle, lettuce and tomatoes all together. The girls shared a strawberry shake that was really good in sweetness and milky creaminess. I personally liked the atmosphere, good seating, good music. The servers were super nice and friendly. The food came out as expected not super fast but not super long. The servers switched mid dining experience and both were nice friendly and informative. The price in my opinion was worth it. Next time I go I might pick up a hat or hoodie sweatshirt, it was honestly really a good food and establishment experience would highly recommend.

Rad place. Cool punk vibe with friendly staff. The beers were good and we didn't eat but the food looked/smelled delicious

Locals claimed it's the best burger in town; if you like a huge burger that is sloppy then this is your place. French fries are actually Jo Jo potatoes/potato wedges.good atmosphere and service

Outstanding food and service. We all had the single bacon cheeseburgers and one patty was enough! Generous portions, cool atmosphere. Shakes are amazing and huge!

The burger was enormous and tasty. The home cut fries are good by themselves. The vanilla shake was delicious. The staff was friendly. I forgot my card and they put it away and helped me get it back when I came back in later.

This place never disappoints. Bacon cheeseburger was perfect and had a surprising amount of bacon in it. First time having the onion rings and they were great.

If there was half stars, I would probably give this place 3 1/2 stars. If I could eat burgers every single day and not have to worry about becoming fat or having a heart attack, I would. I looooovvvvveeee burgers. They are perhaps my favorite food. So naturally, I need to try this place. I did like the burger. I didn't have any kind of condiments on it, and it was quite tasty. The place itself leaves a bit to be desired. There is plenty of seating, and all the condiments are in the middle in a salad bar type of setup. When I ordered my burger there was only four other people in the place. It took awhile for them to get me my burger. I love that it is fresh, but the problem was, the people in front of me ordered, they made their food, and then made my food. All three of us got burgers, could they not have just put on three patties at once? So other than the waiting, I really enjoyed the food, and will probably be back soon.

Great burgers! Second time we visit. We came for a quick bite with some gusts and no one was disappointed. Service was EXCELLENT! Since there a few of us needed a larger table our host Diana was super friendly and was able to accommodate us with very minimal wait time. Our waiter Gaston was so helpful with recommendations and kept checking in with a smile on his face. A little gesture goes along way!
A must try place.guios burger, onion ring, fries and Double double all huge portions. Everyone was full! If you’re in the area you should visit!

Amazingly great food - juiciest burgers, monster-sized servings, and shakes made with real hand dipped ice cream! Hubby and I generally split the order.
