Holiday, The Oakmont reviews
9My grandmother had the luxury of staying here.she absolutely loved her time here & the ambience was very welcoming.the classical music is a nice touch.the residents/ staff are all very sweet & welcomed her with open arms.thank you for being so kind.i wish her stay could have been longer!
I think it's a wonderful place. Senior care is excellent. They are treated with respect and dignity. I think having senior assistance in the rooms who want it is excellent idea. They need help and companionship. The Staff is great.
Oakmont was a wonderful choice for our family. My husband’s aunt was placed there when we could no longer have her living at home. We hired senior assistance living to come in and help. Pam and her crew were so great about checking in on her and giving us the rest assurance that she was safe and living a happy life at Oakmont. The property of Oakmont was always accommodating to our visits. Great shady places to sit.
I don’t often write reviews, but I’m going to now. I have visited the Oakmont a few times and I’m impressed. I can’t believe how much the Chico community is so involved with this place. The Girl Scouts come visit the Oakmont and what a great opportunity for the girls and the residents to have quality time together.
Love seeing the young girls and the residents sharing time together.
This place is so inviting and cooperative. Thank you Oakmont and Chico.
I loved having my mom at the Oakmont, not only because of the Oakmont staff and all of the activities and entertainment they provided but mainly because of the services we received from Senior Assistants. Obviously, this previous review is coming from a disgruntled employee. My mom couldn’t have lived Independently as long as she did without Pam’s crew and their loving and conscientious care.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Oakmont Retirement Home, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with both the landscaping and the wide range of activities available to residents.
First, let's talk about the landscaping. The moment you step onto the grounds of Oakmont, you are greeted by a lush and beautifully maintained garden. The meticulously manicured lawns, vibrant flowerbeds, and serene walking paths create a tranquil environment that's perfect for residents to enjoy. The outdoor seating areas provide a picturesque backdrop for socializing and relaxation.
Now, onto the activities. Oakmont Retirement Home truly excels in this aspect. They offer a diverse array of activities to cater to various interests and abilities. Whether you're into fitness, arts and crafts, or simply want to socialize with fellow residents, there's something for everyone. The calendar is always brimming with engaging events, from yoga and gardening clubs to art exhibitions and movie nights.
What sets Oakmont apart is their commitment to personalized activities. The staff takes the time to understand each resident's preferences and needs, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy life to the fullest. It's heartwarming to see residents thriving and forming new friendships through these activities.
Furthermore, my mom is at Oakmont, and it's clear that she would not have been able to stay living independently if it wasn't for Pam and her dedicated crew. They go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support to residents like your my mom, creating a warm and nurturing environment.
Oakmont Retirement Home is a true haven for retirees, and the exceptional care provided by Pam and her team adds an extra layer of comfort and peace. It’s diverse range of activities create an environment that promotes both physical well-being and a strong sense of community. If you or a loved one are considering a retirement home, I highly recommend giving Oakmont serious consideration.
While the Building is amazing In it's self and the Oakmont staff is amazing the side buisness there the Senior Assistance started off amazing the owner of this part seemed great at first.little did I know that I would be over worked treated poorly and medical reasons would be ignored, that and despite putting in overtime I would not be properly paid instead she seen it fit to pay her employees with Safeway gift cards and then say she would write a personal check for my payment for working but I would have to pay her back in full or Work Extra and pay it off and wouldn't be paid for the next 2 weeks for working off my paycheck. Then when Covid was going around I had gotten Covid and gave her 3days notice before my next shift with proof that I had gotten Covid she then decided she was going to fire me since I was not able to come in. I'm not the only person that had worked there that had these payment issues and being treated poorly by this individual. I do NOT recommend working at the Oakmont for Senior Assistants. I left her name blank for reasons but if you know who I'm mentioning then that is good enough.
The Oakmont is a lovely place to be. It is homey, quiet, not too big where you don't get to know everybody, and is, like most things, what you make of it.
You can choose to be quiet and reclusive, or attend all the events and programs - there is no pressure. The staff is there to assist and they get to know everyone and care about each resident.
The grounds are beautiful so there is a pleasant walk right there! Public planter boxes are available for sowing seeds and there are activities to keep your day busy and full.
