Holiday Inn Express San Francisco Union Square, an IHG Hotel

This hotel has the most courteous and kind staff, many thanks to the staves for taking care of us. The hotel is truly elegant and stylish! I highly recommend other facilities too, like the spa, the pool, and the gym. I will be back again soon, and I will always recommend this hotel to my friends.

I wasn’t able to even stay here because upon arriving it was completely boarded up, no way in, the phone would ring for a minute then disconnect. We contacted the third party company we booked through and they couldn’t get through either. Doesn’t make sense, they took our money and sent confirmation emails but the locals said it’s been closed since December!? So disappointed.

Great location close to BART, Cable Car and downtown. Golden Gate Bridge is about 9.5km away. There is no fridge or microwave in the rooms but you can take some ice from the machine in the 2nd floor.

Got to the hotel after a really long flight and the hotel was shut down. They didn't mind sending me a message or relocating me. After hanging on the phone for about one hour standing on the sidewalk the booker got me a place to stay.

This hotel was great! SUPERB location with SUPERB pillows and great service. Doors to the hotel/lobby remain locked all day and are accessed with key card which is great. Very new, clean, nice shower with good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash, pillows are amazing and bed is comfy. Nice choice if you’re coming home for the evening after spending the day out just to watch a show, shower & sleep! No breakfast but that’s a given because of C ovid.

The only downside is you have to pay $$ for a parking garage but if you utilize it you can save money not spending it parking other places.

This hotel is a little piece of heaven at an affordable price! We found the staff very hospitable and the services top-notch. Our room was calming and comfortable with a very nice shower. You can walk from the hotel over the main road through an air-conditioned overpass. Super convenient! The hotel is ideal for a long stay or short stay, such as transients.

Cleanliness: good
Location: Excellent. Lots of bars and restaurants right downstairs. Walking distance from the square.
Service: This place is a little lacking in customer service. One of the managers. The short indian dude was always on his personal cell phone. I have worked at a 50 dollar motel before and provided better service. Definitely not as customer service oriented as a holiday inn manager should be.
Price: reasonable for a place like San Francisco. Although the room was very small.
Breakfast: Bleh!
