Holiday Inn Express & Suites Camarillo, an IHG Hotel

We had a decent room with a King, until the smoke detector started beeping due to a low battery. It’s 10 pm. Of course maintenance isn’t here, so we’re moved to another room across the hall, now we have 2 queens and instead of beeping we hear vehicles going by on the freeway.

I choose this location because I was working in the area and the Hampton Inn was completely booked. I decided to reserve a suite for the entire week. On the first night, I took a shower and due to the short and thin cheap curtain, water had leaked all over the entire bathroom floor and bedroom. I had to use every towel to quickly dry this up and I almost slipped and fell because of this. I immediately notified the front desk and explained what happened, and was told by the woman on the phone that I might need a longer shower curtain. I said that would be great, please bring up some more towels along with that replacement shower curtain. When the woman from the front desk arrived (Ruby) she handed me four large towels but no shower curtain. I immediately asked her where is the longer shower curtain as you mentioned on the phone? She responded with I'll have to check and get back with you. I waited in the room for her to come back, but after 30 minutes, I figured I'll just go downstairs and ask the front desk myself since it was getting late and I wanted to step out for something to eat. Ruby responded with "We don't have any long shower curtains". I was very frustrated at this point, because nobody bothered to relay this information to me. I then asked her what do you plan on doing to fix this issue with the water leaking all over when I take a shower? Ruby and the other employee working the front said we don't have any long shower curtains and maintenance is not available. I said so I'm just suppose to take a shower and keep a supply of towels when the shower leaks water all over the floor? They both just looked at me with a clueless uncaring face. I then decided to change my reservation for one night, cancelling the remainder of my stay at this unprofessionally managed hotel. The room however was a dump because of this due to the water wetting the carpet causing it to smell from the water touching it. This is not the place to stay for a business trip because the computer and printer were out of order along with the laundry facility. This will be my last time that I ever stay at a Holiday Inn Hotel.

Fine place to stay for a few nights. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast is more then fine and they have a pancake maker. Wish there was some fresh fruit but I can’t complain about the variety. This place is popular with companies so parking in back can be full unless you get there early.

Perfect experience. The rooms are extremely clean, service at front desk was welcoming and the Continental breakfast was delicious.

In our glorious travels, the gorgeous Mr H and I booked a week at a local Holiday Inn Express. Mainly because of the breakfast. But located off the Northbound 101 freeway at Central Ave in lovely Camarillo, CA.turn right off the exit then left at Del Norte, you will find the HIE. The staff here is the tops. Always pleasant and ready for requests. The rooms are rooms and booking a good price could have been easier. What was important is that the location gave way for privacy. And accessibility for the needs on our task list. A definite save while in the Ventura County.

GREAT BREAKFAST. Each day had different selections, but was filling and perfect for what I wanted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shoutout to the evening staff who were the kindest and most helpful folks I've seen at a smaller hotel. The only issues I ran into were the air conditioning in my room was very loud and woke me up at night. Also, the windows are not very insulated, so the noise from the highway was very loud compared to other hotels I've stayed at. If you are at all sensitive to noise when sleeping, I would advise getting an ODD numbered room (in the back of the property) to avoid hearing the highway as much. However, the room were big for hotel standards, and came with a microwave, fridge, and coffee machine, which is a nice touch and allowed me to have cold drinks at all times! Thanks to the staff for a lovely weekend!

Good motel. The ac is loud and the carpet is stained but every else was pretty clean for motel standards. Rooms are much larger then standard motel rooms

Beds need an update, but great property otherwise. I'm sure once they update their beds they will get an excellent

Service and receptionists were courteous and attentive, only thing was the bathrooms weren't as up to par as they should've been. The tub spout was leaking the whole stay.

Great staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is basic but good. This issue is maintenance. The business center computer has been down for months and now the laundry hasn’t worked since June.

I stayed in this hotel and let me tell you it's amazing I loved staying there when I first walk in it smells clean and the beds are so nicely made i loved staying there I'm definitely going back

Best place to stay I haded a long flight they gave me my room on time that was amazing.and I got to the room and it was super clean it smelled really fresh the bed will made the bathroom haded amazing detail it looks like they take there time doing it. The breakfast was really good. You can see that the housekeeper are well organized there Manager Is doing a great job overall I love staying at this hotel I recommend it

The reason we booked here.was it was literally the only place we could find where the jacuzzi/ pool area was open- unfortunately.the jacuzzi was not in working order.so it really didn't matter.
Also the first night our toilet stopped up. We had to call for maintenance.and we were brought a plunger.to? Plunge it.lol
Otherwise.decent.

You get what you pay for. And let’s just say this is the cheapest hotel around.
Uncomfortable rooms that were loud and moldy

Old building, old towels-it’s beige instead of white. There is breakfast, moderate quality and only 5 tables for whole hotel. So dinnig room is very very small. We had to wait 25 minutes to seat. We have stayed in Holiday Inn many many times in different cities, different states, this hotel does not match other Hotels of this chain.

My room had a funky odor, there was no way to contact the front desk from the room, and the hotel was very tired - didn't seem super clean or well updated. Will not stay here again.
