Holiday Inn Express & Suites Marina - State Beach Area, an IHG Hotel

Very clean, neat and friendly staff. Good complimentary breakfast and great locale! Near Walmart, 7-11, carwash and the VA.

Stayed here on a work trip. Did gas bbq in the parking lot every night with coworkers. Fun stay

Had a late check-in after a long trip. Manager Edwin helped us with our reservation and made our stay easy!
Rooms were clean, lobby was clean the rest of the staff was friendly. 10/10

Room and services were booked through IHG's phone app. IHG provided confirmation that services were booked and reserved (confirmation email). Upon arrival nothing was booked or reserved. Found out later IHG does not support the services they offer through their website and the IHG phone app.
Do NOT use IHG.there are better choices out there for the same price.

Great hotel. Clean, family friendly and close to shops and restaurants. Close enough to Monterey to do all the tourists things but much better price

Great location, clean modern decor, good breakfast. The hotel seemed very new and must have been built fairly recently. We arrived after dark after driving all day from Las Vegas.and were disappointed in the rude attitude of the front desk clerk who we had to hunt down to check us in, but everything else was just as I would expect from Holiday Inn and I would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. Clean rooms, nice staff and great breakfast. We will stay here again!

Edwin was the best person I could ever ask for. He was so helpful and just awesome! I have stayed at many hotels because of travel softball. The most amazing man, I re structure a business hire and fire. If he lived near me I would hire him in a heartbeat!

Do not make reservations through a third party they will not even attempt to help you. Rude staff and an unwillingness to help their customers.

Excellent customer service, Curtis H.went above and beyond to take care of our needs. Rooms are clean and lots of parking is available. Great location, easy access to the highway.

Beware of the first floor, its very loud, due to the chairs being moved during the morning. The room was spacious and clean, and the service was average. The breakfast was simple, with sausage, egg, and pancakes. Pretty good price for the amenities.

I am a Holiday Inn Diamond member and I found that the staff was less than friendly, they did not honor my room request and stuck me on the lowest floor (said they were full but few people around), hot tub closed due to Covid but nobody wore any masks (seems to be more of an excuse, was a reason we choose this location), no pancake machine, and the first floor room had a LOT of noise from upstairs. I am extremely disappointed to say the least!

Great location about 10 minutes from monterey bay aquarium. The rooms were good sized and clean. The service people were helpful and honest. Breakfast was decent as well.

My stay was so amazing at this Holiday Inn especially because Curtis was so helpful and so nice. I felt so welcome because he was really friendly and interacting with us. He gave us the best information for the area, seriously such an amazing person working here. Thank you Holiday Inn Marina! <3

Very disappointed. Toilet didn't flush every time. Breakfast missing items the front desk said would be there. Pool and hot tub closed. Lobby smelled strong of smoking two of the three days there. My last Holiday Inn Express experience at another location was worse. Sad not to be able to count on this chain any longer.
