I believe her name is Becky and she was working the dining room the day I left December 25th). I was very impressed with how hard a worker she is, personable and attentive to customer needs. She's someone you want to hang onto as a valued employee.

**PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU BOOK**

In any hotel around the world, I can let go of any inconvenience, except cleanliness. The room I was checked into was filthy, to say the least.

There was hair in the shower, on the pillow cases, and on the bed. Food pieces (looks like chips) were under the bed covers, stains here and there, which tells you no one is actually cleaning anything and no one is changing bed covers and pillow cases, they just make the bed, empty trash, and call it a day. They make people sleep on THE SAME BED SHEETS AND PILLOW CASES OF OTHER PEOPLE.

I have attached pictures for everyone to avoid staying in this filthy hotel.

Spacious and clean rooms. Check in and out was a breeze. Breakfast was alright. More than sufficient for a quick bite. Didn't managed to use the pool but it looks great.

Easy check in and a great location. My only complaint is I can hear every step from whomever is above me and this is a first for me with any hotel. My guess is the new construction is cheaper and corners were cut. I would request top floor!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Oakhurst during our recent visit to Yosemite. Its location is pretty ideal—close enough to the park while still being in a town with grocery stores, restaurants, and Starbucks. If you’ve stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before, you kinda know what to expect: clean rooms, continental breakfast, etc.

The odd thing about this location is that it’s in a row of hotels—Hampton Inn (Hilton), Fairfield Inn & Suites (Marriott), and then Holiday Inn Express (IHG). They all seem to be owned by the same person/group because the amenities are spread out across the 3 hotels. The activity center is at the Hampton Inn, breakfast is only served at the Fairfield Inn, and where we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express had… lukewarm coffee in the lobby and a sparsely stocked pantry to purchase snacks & beverages.

Requiring guests to walk to the next hotel for breakfast felt very strange, especially since the website makes no mention that the advertised amenities aren’t in-house. The mornings were extraordinarily cold, so that magnified my annoyance… but it just felt like an obvious cost cutting measure. The breakfast was fine, but certain things were mislabeled (i.e. Canisters of oatmeal toppings) so anyone with food allergies should be extra careful. They also charge $10 for self-parking which, again, felt odd in a mountain town with a very empty parking lot.

I’m curious if the respective parent companies are aware of the “shared services” model between what I assume would be considered competitors. My significant other is an IHG Diamond Elite member, so we have stayed at our fair share of Holiday Inn Expresses, and will continue to patronize IHG properties. Our stay here was fine, but it felt like noticeable corners were cut at the expense of the guest experience.

Situated on foothills of Yosemite (30min Mariposa grove), great retreat for comfy bed, warm shower and decent breakfast. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Has gym and guest laundry (can use app). Parking was $10 per night. Rooms had ample USB sockets, fridge, tv and microwave.

This is a nice Holiday Inn Express. I stayed here after visiting Yosemite and was satisfied with my experience. I checked into this hotel and got a room with two queen size beds. The bathroom was spacious and had a nice toilet and shower. The next morning, I got a cinnamon roll for breakfast, which tasted good. I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice rooms.

Friendly staff and rooms are newly done. My room was very noisy both from top floor as well as side walls as my room was next to the staff room. Both days morning we could hear talking loudly from staff. Dog friendly but $50 per night is very high could have left in wag I guess plus $10 for parking is stunning. Overall not recommend this place compared to others nearby

The BEST breakfast at any hotel that we stayed at this trip.  The best coffee; the best eggs; the best oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, etc.  And, it was by far the cleanest!  I don't know how much Tom makes, but he deserves a raise. Oh, and the room was very clean and comfortable!   And the desk staff was very helpful.

Clean safe hotel, staff were friendly. Charging $10 a night for parking is laughable and simply just to squeeze a little more money from customers instead of being honest about the real price of the room.
You could take down make and Models or license plates like other hotels if you were really worried… nobody is checking those losses they give you lol

Rates were competitive, but then learned they charge extra $60 to secure room. $10 to park, and $50 deposit. 1st, we are on edge of country.why parking charge? 2nd, no pets or room bar. You have credit card. Why charge deposit? Feel this is unethical business practice.

Kinda busy hotel with people checking in and out all the time - I guess due to the location near the South entrance of Yosemite park. Room was ok, so was the view. Breakfast was basic and not for non-Americans. Window couldn’t open (not built to ever open). Cleanliness was fine. Staff were a hit and miss. Upon check in we had a great experience with the check-in lady, but the next day the reception looked rather chaotic. We were not charged for a parking which was a relief. Reading the other reviews I was expecting to get charged. But pleased, we did not. All three hotels located in the same area are owned by the same owner and they look the exact same way (some color differences). You might want to compare prices before you decide to book one of them. Price was rather high for the area.

Unfortunately my room was beside the kitchen and in front of the employees breakroom, at 5: 30 am before the breakfast service started the employers were talking too loud so they woke up at that time, later that same day I couldn't unlock my room door, they reprogrammed my room card but it didn't work, they changed the card and it didn't work, the receptionist tried with his key and didn't work neither so they had to call the maintenance guy. Also, they also charge 10 dollars for an open parking fee without any kind of security, hotel is located in a very small town. I'm honestly not sure if staying in a holiday inn is a good idea.

Really nice room and great price through Priceline. They need to improve their coffee and breakfast buffet, but they were not as bad as some places.

This was such a nice stay! Comfy beds, some great local dinner options, and a fantastic complimentary breakfast. Thanks to Mark for making checking in such a breeze!

Me and my husband pay for room 409 on October 8 for honeymoon trip and the toilet overflowed. Notified front desk about it and they didn’t take action. We have booking for another hotel under IHG. Not sure for good room or service.

Paid for and booked room not available. Had to wait for a room. Hidden "parking" fees. If anything is unacceptable it's hidden fees and to pay to park at a hotel you booked at.
Will not stay here again. Check out the other hotels nearby for comparable prices

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Oakhurst, which is just outside of Yosemite National Park. We had a very positive experience- great location if you are looking to go to Yosemite, but aren't staying in the park, good breakfast, and clean rooms. I want to especially give a shout out to the staff working the front desk! They were all incredibly friendly and helpful.especially helping me look for my lost car keys. Melissa was incredibly gracious and helpful, and you can immediately tell how friendly, helpful, and accommodating she is as soon as you approach her! You made it such a pleasant stay, and thanks for all your help looking for my keys! Thank you!
