Holiday Inn Los Angeles Gateway - Torrance, an IHG Hotel

Stay overnight after a Birthday Celebration in their ballroom. The hotel has some signs of wear but is overall in good condition.

Pros: Cara & Alyssa were very warm & friendly as they greeted me entering the lobby. Also, the aroma in the lobby was like Bed, Bath, & Beyond. The background ambiance music was good. Nice view of the South Bay from most of the rooms. The cleaning crew is respectful and nice.
Cons: The rooms are a little outdated. Only (1) one microwave oven in the ENTIRE hotel.

Bed making, towels not changed! Wellmart is near the hotel, but it's a little far away!

Location was perfect away from busy roads but close to fwy and 17min from Hermosa beach. Food was fresh, bar made great drinks, very clean throughout. Staff were very attentive. Rooms were clean beds and pillows made you feel so comfortable we had great night sleep. I would recommend this Location. Thank you Holiday Inn!

Went to check in and the gentleman named ART helped me. He was extremely professional polite and very well mannered and because of him I always continue to book at the holiday inn Torrance location. Appreciate your service ART!

I had an exceptional experience with the entire hotel staff and management in the way they dealt with an incident of housekeeping accidentally entering my room unannounced around 6am. They had reassured me it was a housekeeping mistake and that it wasn’t a malicious incident. I was grateful for how seriously they took it and their follow up afterwards. Kudos to the whole team!

Good: friendly staff, they all have great smiles and genuinely helpful.

Bad 1:
my room on 10th floor has the worst WiFi that I never experienced before, what’s worse was regular 4G is slow as well. I had to go down stairs to downstairs. Should’ve ask to switch room but I was too tired to do so.

Bad 2: Also chair (see the pic) was badly worn out, don’t understand why they just trash it and get the new one.

Bad 3: I hear the every words of phone conversation from the next door… no privacy here.

Bad 4: breakfast was less than average… like 2 out of 10. Not appetizing at all.

Worst technical service to the facility I have seen. First 3 days the jacuzzi was ok. But on the fourth I was inside for only one hour and my skin started to feel itchy and burnt.indeed, I lost some portion of outer layers and my skin hair got severely damaged. I reported this to them and they did nothing, not even shutdown that area. They did after 2 weeks probably because more people reported the same. Food too expensive and with no variety.

Awesome Hotel! Alyssa was so helpful and made our experience wonderful! This hotel is a great price and in a great area if you are traveling with an awesome pool, 13 miles from downtown and great food! Will be back! Again i cant thank Alyssa enough for going above and beyond for us!

We stayed over this weekend and had a small problem with pricing. Julio the GM I believe was incredibly helpful and all the staff were super friendly! We traveled with our pet and had had a great stay!

Alyssa is helpful, sincere and overall lovely. She helped me change rooms after a spider bite and also had her manager Julio Moo reach out to me about my experience. She is courteous, professional and super helpful. Julio is caring and professional and made sure that he helped get me squared away. Next time I'm in town for business I will be back to stay with them again.

Sorry to say this was one of the worst places I stay. Place was dirty rooms, floors, no coffee in the lobby, no free breakfast, do not believe what you see on their website. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful lobby. The hallways and rooms seem a bit outdated, not very good internet, but clean. The staff were all great, make sure to get the room with breakfast included as the buffet is expensive by itself.

The room was nice and clean.bed and pillows were comfortable.
Remodel craftsmanship sub-par.

Stained carpets in the rooms and hallways, worn furnishings in the rooms. Conference rooms were dark, fluorescent lights on their way out. There is nothing around this place, so you need transportation if you don't want hotel food. The food was usual hotel faire, but is crazy expensive. Wifi included with the room, as it should be for over $200 per night.

I really like staying here when I'm in the LA area. Great rooms, plus great view from the top floors, great customer service as well. Safe parking lot, yeah you have to pay but overall I really like staying here. If you're on vacations or just business wise then come check them out.
