Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena, an IHG Hotel

Pros: Location, some of the staff's kindness, and ev charging (and even those are stretching it.)
Cons: Most everything else. Our room wasn't clean (including but NOT limited to a "clean" towel smelling awful/gross and finding a sock under the chair in the room that was NOT ours), our bed was shaped like a bowl instead of a bed and then the 3 hours that the power was allowed to be turned off to the ENTIRE building simultaneously rather than in waves/shifts from 8 am-10: 50 am (in the winter I might add). When checkout is at 11 am. That means no lights, no heat, no hot showers and no elevators.also not the entire list. It was my husband, myself and our toddler. Take my word for it.what was already a slightly stressful situation was made exponentially more stressful and frustrating. <Note: This was NOT our first time staying here.but it continually was getting worse with each stay instead of better.soooo. Make of that what you will. >

Absolutely amazing service from every single employee we encountered. This has been the best Holiday Inn I’ve stayed in from check in to check out and everything in between. A quick and easy process, plus such a great location. Our room was clean and perfect for us. Breakfast was delicious, and packed to go for us as we had to leave for a flight right away. So accommodating! The bed was extremely comfortable. Not a bad thing I could say about our stay!

It was an great stay rooms nice and tidy great view and was quiet just what I needed. Thank you again, will return soon for another staycation.

Compared to the Holiday Inn Express I stayed at in Manassas VA last night, this is far below Holiday Inn Standards for modern times.

Needs renovating.

Paying for location only. Beds were not comfortable in comparison with another Holiday Inn.

Honestly if I could afford to leave, I'd get a different hotel. Next time I will ensure I call to get more information.

Airport shuttle was called Super Shuttle and a pay for service.

Eh, it’s a very tall overpriced motel for lack of a better description. Very dated inside and the rooms were subpar compared for a Holiday Inn. I would not stay there again unless it undergoes a full renovation.

The beds are so uncomfortable. Place was clean. Lets be honest it's in desperate need of an update. The location is what keeps this place booked up and prices high. If it wasn't for location, I wouldn't stay again. The location is close to everything and thats why I gave it a 3 star

Very old Holiday Inn, needs major renovations. There's no microwave or refrigerator in the rooms and they charge you $10 to have a refrigerator brought to your room. And very few outlets to charge your devices. The food is mediocre at best as the food selection is very limited. And a bit pricey. The location is Great because it's in Old Town where there's a lot to do and it's attached to a outside mall. I won't stay here again until it's remodeled and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Called to set up a reservation. Was informed that I’d have to pay for additional parking. That is ridiculous when I am paying so much for a hotel room! I’ll sleep somewhere else!

Rooms and decor is very outdated, beds are super hard and old school spring mattress. Great location is the only thing going for it

Check in was horrible with being given the wrong keys that didn't work the first.
Check in person was rude with no apology given. Towels had stains in them. Traffic noise was constant all night. But the old a/c heater made the most noise, and was absolutely filthy.
For a price tag of $200 a night I would expect so much better.

Today is thanksgiving. All other public restrooms all closed. We asked for the code of the restroom but got refused bc we are not hotel guests. We begged but just “no”.
That’s your way to do business? Shame on you! What an ironic thanksgiving.

Hotel was clean and pleasant to stay in. Location is also very convenient. My room was quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Staff was courteous and helpful. Overall a good option for a relatively simple and affordable hotel in downtown Sacramento.

The room and service were solid the breakfast buffet was great as was the service. Downtown Sacramento so its gonna be a little pricey

Clean, extremely professional staff. But the TV'S are so small you need binoculars to see it. Might be time for a few updates.

Extremely close to Moda and old Sacramento. Did not like pin code to use restroom. Also airport shuttle was only for flight attendants and pilots not guest

It is the perfect location to stay in Sacramento. The check in process was so easy and everyone was incredibly sweet. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back!

The stay has been nothing but great! Clean, well appointed rooms. Nice hotel with lots of amenities and included breakfast buffet for a good price! I love that this is walking distance to Old Town Sac, it’s literally less than 5 minutes

Loved the convenience of this hotels location to Downtown and Old Sacramento.all within walking distance. The hotel staff were very helpful, especially the valet attendee was very respectful and kind.the hotel was very well maintained and clean.would definitely recommend to others

I was unable to make the trip to my Grandmother's funeral due to covid symptoms and the front desk helped me out a lot with that. Thank you and I hope to visit someday in good health!

My stay here was short but sweet. The staff were amazing so happy and so willing to make my short stay relaxing. They gave me great suggestions on food and entertainment it felt like family. I will be returning
