Holiday Inn San Francisco-Golden Gateway, an IHG Hotel

I won't stay here again. The location is horrible and super sketchy.the extra fees creep up on you and there was no warning that my Tahoe couldn't be on site for the self parking because it was to big. We ended up having to park 2 blocks away and pay over $100 for 2 nights and had to pay $15 everytime we wanted to take my own car! If you plan on parking on site be sure your vehicle will fit here. There is nothing around this area other than ppl using drugs on corners, homeless stinky ppl yelling at eachother and sleeping on the sidewalk and no view. It's not a safe area and you can't walk to anything but garbage food and gas stations.

Rooms were clean. Elevators are TERRIBLE! We were on the 25th floor and only 3 of the 6 elevators seemed to be working. You have to pay $45 on top of your room, so while this hotel may SEEM cheap, it’s a rip off for how far out of the way it is from the ball park. We’ll be staying somewhere closer next time.

Clean and large rooms with a fantastic turndown service. Good price overall. Fast lifts, we asked for a room away from these because apparently they can be loud. Slight negative was that one washer and one dryer wasn’t working out of the two available.

Great room, excellent view. Very clean facility. Great food service & and staff. This could have been 5 stars except we arranged for an early check in 12pm. Drove 3 1/2 hrs and upon arrival our room wasn't available. Not entirely their fault if the last occupants didn't leave on time, but no compensation was offered. We were asked to back up into the street to ease their parking issue and were never asked if we had bags to check in. We carried our bags both ways ourselves. This was our 36th anniversary trip, and it's sucks when you have to settle when things fall short.

Value for money Ok I don't understand the opinion about small rooms and no coffee always when it comes to the standard of the room there is a choice when booking we had a clean large room with two double beds on the top floor and with a beautiful view the hotel has a self-service laundry as well as parking and a swimming pool.

There is no double beds they will charge you for it and steal your money idk how bbb hasn’t got involved. I payed for a double bed, once I got to the room after checking in noticed it was a single master bed. Got back to the front desk they said they don’t offer double beds at ALL. Thanks for stealing my money. Staff is extremely rude aswell

It is a beautiful hotel the rooms are very good but the only problem is the breakfast which could have been a little faster

Decent hotel in the Nob Hill section of San Francisco. The room on the 11th floor was spacious and clean, with a good view up the hill. The proximity of public transportation in every direction was a great plus; and so were some restaurants that were within walking distance. The bellhop was very friendly and efficient and greeted us on every day of our stay. The outdoor pool is nice, but it was not heated up to my taste.
I suggest vacuuming the hallways a bit more often. Items from the little café in the lobby area are highly overpriced. Two coffees, a banana, and a ham and egg croisant came up to about $25 before the tip.

Top! Again and again. We recommend. Right next door to the cable train stop! Excellent. Or bus line 49 to the waterfront/pier. Parking in the hotel without tax 40.00 per day. Parking prices and slam in's (car burglary) big problem at tourist attractions. Holiday Inn Top.

We lost our suitcase at the airport, it was to arrive the next day without success.
No help from the staff to help us call the airport and help us express ourselves with them in English on this subject.
In addition, we went for walks all day. On our return, room not made. You had to ask! How do you know then that there is no written information in the room! Very disappointed!

Nice rooms good location but as a smoker having to go down 23 floors & stand 15ft from the hotel on the curb was a pain in the arse but that's just me

We stayed here for three nights. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The price is reasonable and location is good. There is a $40 fee for one day parking pass. It doesn’t have complimentary breakfast.

Room was great! Easy access to buses and cable cars. Bad thing is the Location is next to Tenderloin area. Tenderloin has a high population of homeless people hanging out.

They were putting in carpeting in on the floor below and woke us up at 6: 45 both mornings we were there. The banging sounded like it was on the ceiling below.

This Holiday Inn has some of the best views of San Francisco. Parking is easy. The elevators are probably the fastest ones I have ever used. My room was on the 18th floor and had windows on two of the walls with beautiful views.

Stayed for over 2 weeks. Great staff and the restaurant down stairs is really reasonably priced. Really comfortable stay!

Cannot recommend this place less, the rooms are outdated, from the 6 elevator 2 worked and there was always a queue, DONT get the BREAKFAST or FOOD vouchers they are a complete scam, and you can get much better food around the hotel. They are overpriced and they underdeliver
