Holiday Inn Windsor - Wine Country, an IHG Hotel reviews
21Vacation stay, twice. Pleasant staff. *Clean* comfortable rooms. *Great* location with good eateries nearby. *Beautiful* Sonoma environment. Will stay again and much recommend.
We stayed here during my daughter's birthday. The room was okay, the bathroom floor still had hair on the ground and feels like it was not mopped. Location is kind of weird because when you get out of the hotel and to get on the freeway, you can't make a u-turn on the main road so you have to go into the residential area to turn around. Hassle. All in all it's okay.
I would give this place the last star if they could pay a little more to their guests rest. Coming from a memory foam to a wallowed out spring mattress and flat pillows made me forget about the nice service and location.
Wi-Fi didn’t work. Room service skipped despite request. Nail sticking out of door hinge tore my sons favorite tshirt. Fortunately he didn’t get hurt. Very squishy room. Fridge full of ice. Not frost free. Shower diverter broken and lots of wasted water.
Pool is not heated properly even though indoors and no one wanted to go in.
Would never stay here again. Pretty unbelievably low quality for a new hotel.
Stayed here for a few days while exploring wine country. Great location, super friendly staff. Beds were ok could be better but could be worse.very clean and nicely updated hotel. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar in the lobby. Good food and very nice bartender
We stayed here on our way to San Francisco. We specifically picked this hotel for the indoor heated pool. Nice location, easy to find. Staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms are nice and open. The beds were uncomfortable, the walls are paper thin. We had a herd of elephants above us jumping, running and wrestling all night. Called the front desk for assistance with no results. The on site restaurant is pricey. The food was delicious, you are paying for the convenience. The hotel is near a shopping center and plenty of other places to eat.
My stay at the property was wonderful as I stayed with a friend and liked the property as the room are clean and the beds are comfy, the service too is quick and the staff is nice and efficient. The location is also convenient to arrive
Very clean and polite service was great easy on and off access to freeway pleasant experience and quit. I will be back again
Stayed here for a few weeks for work, the employees and owners made the stay amazing! They were kind and welcoming and made the stay away from home feel comfortable
Overall an excellent hotel! Comfortable beds, very quiet despite being by the highway, nice amenities.
The reason for 4 stars are two issues: 1 - the pool isn't heated at all. It's setup really well but being indoors it's still freezing cold. We did manage to swim for 10 minutes but that's all we could do. Which is unfortunate since that was a big reason for us choosing this hotel. 2 - no free breakfast, only a $15 breakfast buffet.
Great place to stay, the food is amazing the staff is Bamfs. I highly recommend staying here for work or vacation. The only thing I don't like is the beds are hard, but that's just me.
A completely remodeled/renovated hotel with easy access to the freeway, downtown Windsor and the surrounding wine country.
The general manager and the hotel staff are very special people who made our stay that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend booking a stay there.
It should be noted that locals will tell you that COVID positive homeless were housed in this hotel during the pandemic…something to keep in mind when you consider staying there…I would suggest the nearby Holiday Inn Express instead.
Wanting to let people know that those who gave bad reviews concerning homeless don't know anything.me and my husband and Are dog are very thankful to holiday inn and the town of windsor for welcoming us in and we dont have scabies bedbugs. Needles and? Its a.covidfree safe place for65 and older and those that have autoimmune problems (to keep us from getting covid).
We stayed in this hotel last year for the Valentine’s day. We had dirty sheets, somebody’s else food was left in the fridge and we had issue with air conditioning at 2am. Manager wasnt able to talk to us despite our multiple attempts. I would recommend to stay away from this hotel. It is very beautiful area and there are so many other good hotels to stay.
It's poor because family can't stay there anymore. It's now a homeless shelter thanks to Sonoma Co.buying it up. Family used to like it when in town. Pick something else, not Holiday Inn express, was owned by same family, shelter #2 coming soon.
WARNING: This hotel is being made into a HOMELESS SHELTER! Well it WAS a nice hotel! Watch out future guest for scabies, bedbugs, lice, needles.
This hotel is under contract with County of Sonoma be used as homeless shelter. Be aware before you book.
I love this hotel, we stayed there for mother's day weekend. The kids loved it. I would definitely stay here again. I know because of covid their was no breakfast understandable but I love it.
Shaleigha is the most sweetest person that I have came across us a long time. She was our bright star on a difficult day. The holiday inn Windsor is so nice. She even offered to bring up extra things if we needed. I will be definitely staying here again. Every business needs a shaleigha
