I’ve never seen the police handle situations well. You try to sustain the peace then agrivate the public. The more you use your force the less we’re afraid of you. I would say do better but I believe you’re incompetent to do so.

First of all you don't answer the phone. Second of all it's sad that you advise me to get a Restraining Order because I kept being harassed. Then you "Don't" enforce it. Instead you have come to my house over 8 times because my assulter keeps making false reports. You have even talked to my assulter on my phone because they kept harassing me on my phone. This is so crazy to me. You would rather waste tax payers dollars than arrest the assulter. Smh! This system and your station sucks!

You guys have to answer the phone, like seriously we're trying to help our family members and you guys put phone numbers on the doors for us to call but y'all won't even answer.

Called to make a report on suspicious activity in my neighborhood. Pressed 6 for front office, they picked up and hung up. Then they wonder why they get a bad rep.

This place isn't even opened 24 hours I had a difficult time getting service thanks to the good police man that went out a his way to help me. If it wansnt for him I'd be stranded in east Los Angeles in a desolate street

My problem is fireworks exploded like a bomb. They never catch them. They need to go after them asking for the public support. This is not a legal. Disturbing the peace 24/7 never stops. This needs to stop or someone will die or get injured. Beyond horror

911 response time is nonexistent. Stalkers yell cuss words at me and follow me home laughing at the 911 response they can hear. Repeated "your call is very important to us. " Every interaction with this police unit has been unhelpful hostile or cartoonishly stereotypically a call to nowhere and nothing. Talk about the wrong stuff. Hostile, dismissive and self serving. To protect and serve.themselves.

How to go to Jail on your day off

Cops shows up to my house for welfare check on a report they got about a possible domestic abuse call. I had just left my home so I’m prime suspect #1. My family kindly let them into our home, even offer to help them with their investigation because we have cameras recording our entire property. I arrive to my home shortly after, about 6 cops are leaving my house, I figure the whole show is over. They ask to search my car for weapons blah blah. Cop repeats same BS story to me. As time passes I start to question what they are still doing at my house. Im outside in the sidewalk when an SUV pulls up and flashes the light on me. Their story starts to fall apart when Im questioning their true motives. Things escalate when I figured out everything was a lie. The cops deflect my questions saying that the detective is the only person who has information. Im handcuffed and taken to jail. Now I’m a robbery suspect for a stolen phone.

Falsely accused of robbery is not cool. Lying to my family to gain access to my home is deff not cool.

At least if my phone ever gets stolen I know I have the power of the entire Hollenbeck police department to catch the wrong person, accomplish nothing, and waste everybody’s time.

Takeaway:
1. Cops lie, yes they lie with no accountability
2. Cops suck at their job, sad reality
3. Cops make mistakes, ALOT of them
4. No cop is ever trying to help you

Always professional & courteous. The Hollenbeck Station is an asset to the community. My line of work will occasionally have police contact and there is really no other department I would rather encounter than this one. Hats off to them as they are a well trained department.

A man tried to kidnap me but because he didn't touch me, I couldn't make a report. I was pregnant and the man was tall and had his car parked next to me. The bus came right away and probably saved me. I did commuity service here too and they gave me small scissors to cut their green bushes in the summer. Do you think the police cared? NO. They could of at least gave me more efficient tools. They don't live in our communities and 9 out of 10 they also didn't grow up in our communities. For these reasons, I am giving them one star.

Dear LAPD,

How many more Pet Dogs are you going to shoot before you get non-lethal training for your Officers? I don’t care that you have a badge and a gun, it doesn’t change the FACT that the use of LETHAL FORCE on a Pet is a COWARDLY ACT, and it’s beyond primitive, it has been getting very old, for a very long time now, not everyone buys into the propaganda that your Officers feared for their lives, this is Police Brutality on our Voiceless Citizens, our Pets are our family members.

If someone shoots a Police Dog there’s a manhunt, and no stone is left unturned until they catch their suspect that harmed the Police Dog, and they’re sent to prison for a lengthy time, but what about our Pets? I’ll tell you about our Pets, they get their jaws blown off by your Police Officers.

On Saturday 3/24/18 LAPD Officers were conducting an investigation in the area of the 5800 block of Willoughby avenue when they entered the home of Brett Kerby and Norma Lopez, and LAPD opened fire on the family Pet Dog. As a taxpaying Citizen of L. A. County and as an Animal Advocate, I would like to know what forms of non-lethal methods were used prior to the use of lethal force on this family Pet? LAPD Officers make too much money to carry on like Keystone Cops.

Sincerely,
Patty Jackson
Animal Advocate
