Hollywood Walk of Fame reviews
17Would be a lot better if there weren’t people harassing you to buy their bootleg CD’s, tons of people outright begging for money, and if there was more overall cleanliness. It’s cool to see the stars but a lot of them are in rough shape, and there’s really not a lot of shopping options aside from high end designer shops and tourist shops with the same magnets, hoodies, and other goodies. I wouldn’t go out of your way to stop here unless you REALLY want to see a certain star.
Great place, recommend going in the afternoon because in the morning there are homeless people sleeping, it's not pretty to see or smell.
Go early on a weekday, and it's a pleasant walk. It's a bit touristy but has some nice places for a quick bite.
Tupac died on my birthday in 1996, so this year I made sure to be at the star at midnight, Sept 13 to celebrate
The place is highly symbolic, going to Los Angeles and not walking along the Walk of Fame is equivalent to not having visited it.
Also for this reason, one can be disappointed by seeing the neglect in which the most famous promenade in the world is left, as if it were any other sidewalk that could remain dirty and without lighting that would instead enhance its particularity.
It should be less crowded. Finding your favorite star and taking a photo can take you a while.
What I've seen in the movies has come true! A famous avenue of stars where you can find your idols. I was looking for the stars Keanu Reeves, Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas was very cool to walk around and see everything in reality. A little bit marred the walk by drug addicts and homeless people who lie and stab right on the alley I hope L. A.will solve this problem someday, because ordinary residents and tourists are scared to walk.
Otherwise it was great to walk around, but the problem with parking lots and high prices is still there, you'll have to work hard to find a place to leave your car
Also if you are walking in summer it is better to bring a couple of bottles of cold water to escape the heat, there are no stores nearby, keep in mind ️.
I recommend visiting this place for if you live or visit Los-Анджелес
A big name and a famous reputation.for a big disappointment.the avenue extends over approximately 2km, there are 80% of the stars of people who were unknown to us (famous in the 50s and 60s, so at the start of the walk of fame), the avenue is very dirty and poor, most of the stores are old or completely closed, many stands or works which cover the stars without remorse, even the most famous.the stars do not are not maintained nor the street anyway.
It's still a "thing to do" when you're in LA and there are still some nice souvenir shops with affordable prices and plenty of choice.
A nice surprise is the Funko store at the end of the avenue.
Be careful of the hawkers and scammers and costumed characters. Was alot dirtier than expected.
Wow, a lot of people, a lot of movement, a really cool place. And it's free. It's very worth knowing. I loved.
High expectation versus reality that left us perplexed! The fame of this long walk was made unpleasant by the dirt and by the many, many homeless people walking around, a feeling of total abandonment. To be in Los Angeles I expected a more refined environment.
They are not taking care of them like they shoud, some tiles are cracked and they need to be power washed. Not woth taking pictures
Wasn't what I invisioned it would be. It's kinda dirty and outdated. When you see a famous person getting their star, it seems so much more extravagant and exciting. I'm not honestly sure what I was expecting. I can just say what I saw, wasn't it. The stars looked all the same. Just different names. Kinda boring. I don't know. Sure go check it out if you have time to kill. I just wouldn't make a special trip.
Kind of an interesting walk through what seems like a low key downtown metro area. They have all the stars of course and some interesting shops and malls. It is definitely receiving a makeover construction in the area is on the rise and there are multistory buildings everywhere nowadays. It definitely has improved in a physical sense and hey it's the home of the Oscars and the Chinese Mann Theatre, Pantages. Highly recommend for a lunch spot or cool place to have fun.
Cool walking around finding our favourite stars but the streets are full of homeless people which takes away from really enjoying the experience. Don't know how people keep up with this in their own city. Appalling.
I am from out of state and was honestly very upset at my experience here. Sure you get to see the stars though they are VERY spread out and take about 2.5 hours to see all of them but the walk itself is very dirty. It's probably ny fault for expecting it to be the way it is in movies but I was truly let down with the filth and at the far end it was a little scary. I reccomend parking further down than Vine street though that is a nice parking garage and super cheap. Lots of vendors the further down you go and street food. You can also get a good view of the Hollywood sign.
