Holsem Coffee, San Diego CA

Great location, friendly service and awesome baristas. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Coffee is great but not a 5/5 for me personally. Biggest issue for my personal taste is grittiness, many of the flavors that are ground (ground cinnamon, etc.) aren't fully incorporated into the beverage leaving a little bit of flavor sludge at the bottom of the cup. Overall really good though, definitely worth your time to try it out for yourself.

The everything bagel and orange cold brew is amazing. I’ve moved from the area and I am so sad I’m not local to walk here anymore!

Not a bad coffee shop. Espresso and cookie is good for under $7. Atmosphere is good but can be tight especially if it's raining outside. Overall a good experience.

Coffee was drinkable, almond croissant was nice but not baked on site (nothing wrong with that, but this is very common in my childhood town). Served in ceramic cup, good. Indoor seating available, but no sofas. Overall fine, but still looking for 5* coffee experience in this town. Overall? Meh

Chic, clean and inviting coffee shop with plenty of seating. The friendly barista recommended the Turmeric Ginger Tea and I ordered it although a little skeptical of how turmeric would taste in tea. Pleasant surprise as it was delicious and just the right balance of turmeric and hints of ginger. My friend had the rose dusted latte which she enjoyed. The location was good to walk around and there was outdoor seating as well. Clean bathrooms

Food was okay but not ready when I ordered an hour in advance and arrived 5 minutes late. It was my 1st time there no directions for pick up orders so I had to wait in long line. Parking sucked.

I’ve come here many times over the past few years, and will be back many more.holsem has magnificent well roasted coffee, delicious espresso, and the most gourmet flavor combos in their lattes/cappuccinos. My go to is the single origin (!) cold brew, of which there are usually multiple varieties, perfectly extracted every time. The latte art is always impressive, the breakfast food and pastries are always magnificent. They are the best coffee-makers in San Diego.

Found this place on Google before even getting to Cali and am glad that I did? Usually I'm an Americano or a Cortado drinker but I wanted to try a signature drink. The awesomely sweet chick that took my order suggested The Woods Latte (organic maple syrup, nutmeg, sea salt, milk) which ended up being perfect. I def recommend checking this place out. I appreciate the wonderful people and great drinks?

I love their mint matcha to death! But today I decided to get their avocado toast and was so incredibly disappointed when I got it and realized the $3 bacon addition, which I thought would be strips of bacon, was actually just bacon crumbs. And at that, there were still only a few crumbs of bacon.

I just can’t believe that it was an extra $3 for a few crumbs of bacon? I love their drinks but this was really disappointing.

This is strictly based off their coldbrew. Straight up, it just wasn't good. I'm not saying it was, but it definitely tasted like coffee that was brewed hot then chilled. Staff was chill, atmosphere was chill, but I'm not coming back.

Probably one of my favorite coffee shops in San Diego. Try the woods coffee. It has a unique taste, and I would highly recommend it. This place Berber disappoints. Plus there are tables to work at. Would recommend!

I don’t give many things 5 starts, but Holmes is an exemplar place.
- Great high quality coffee
- Great variety in their high quality coffee (tea lattes, cold brew, Flavored cold brews, specialty lattes, etc.).
- They have great food!
- Wifi and good seating.

What else is there to say! Great place.

Perfectly curated latte and cappuccino flavors, like a high end cocktail bar, but coffee! ️

Atmosphere and the vibe of this place is nice, however, the coffee was not great. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and the bartista just put too much milk I could barely taste the espresso. Tasted like I was drinking a cup of cold milk

Best coffee in town. It was very busy the weekday when I went in: only 1 seat available for dine in.
