When I purchased my home it had stucco on the outside. After I moved in October 2018 I was approached by Fresno Code Enforcement. They told me that the stucco was done without approval from Lowell Historical Development which is needed in order to get a permit. Erick Motta was told not to put stucco over the original wood cladding but did it anyway. I received a letter from Fresno Code Enforcement stating the violation, and that I needed to remove the stucco. Erick Motta agreed to take care of it at no cost to me. He hired a contractor, Adam Nunez to do the job. When the job was started in May 2019 I was told it would take two to three weeks. In an effort to do the job as cheap as possible, Adam hired unskilled laborers who knew nothing about installing siding. Plus they did a lot of damage (HVAC, Windows, Screens, sheet rock, and outside lighting, and the roof above the back foot is now leaking. The only thing that was fixed properly was the HVAC, and the screens disappeared. They hired a painter who only spray one coat of the wrong color paint without finishing the prep which shows through the paint. Then kept insisting on painting the trim. When I fired the painter I was told that I am responsible for finishing the job. I had to file a lawsuit and filed a complaint with The State of California Real Estate Board. I won’t even mention several issues with the inside of the house that I am stuck with fixing. Do not buy a home from Home Star!

The real estate agent name Guadalupe Rodriguez jr also known as Lou was the most rudest, Arrogant person that my realtor had to deal with. I hope no one has to go through what we did to purchase our house from him and his company. We kept getting the run around on our move in date or when we were actually suppose to get the keys. Then the seller packed and left to Texas the following day so getting information from him was horrible. Then seller was selling the house when it wasn't even in his name big ol mess I tell you. The heater furnace is leaking Carbon monoxide how that passed inspection I have no freaking clue. Pge had to come shut off the gas valve for furnace because it was leaking carbon monoxide. I dont know how this house passed all inspections especially that one. Just a horrible experience dealing with him and his company. Dont but any houses he sells.
