Hometown Heroes Sports Bar & Eatery reviews
15 Fantastic spot to grab lunch and or watch a game. The menu is fun and diverse (the dynabites are a must) and the staff are fun, friendly and attentive.
They just rolled out a new cocktail menu which I'm excited to try
Food was good and service was even better I think it's a different place now but still very good
Good food and service! While our server was very dour and unsmiling (at least not one that showed any teeth or made it to her eyes) we received a great welcome and accommodating service. Seats and tables were moved to accommodate my wheelchair bound Mother without us asking! The Garlic Honeybutter chicken is worth stopping in but everything was delicious!
Thank you Michael for outstanding service!
This a vegan, gluten free burger. The normal burgers here are A+, but the fact that you can something like with food allergies is incredible
Great prices and service
Told us it would be 10 minutes to receive food. It was only 5-7!
Food smells and tastes GREAT!
Make sure you say you want "plain wings with no sauce" if you only eat mild wings.
Seems to be a pop up kitchen operating here. Staff did not explain how that works or even offer to take a food order. At the bar the draft system was down and they did not have an IPA in a can so that was disappointing. I will keep driving by this place and go to some where else.
BRIDGESBANGERS SANDWICH REVIEW 11 (4-28-21)
Score (3.5/5)
LOCATION: @hometownheroeseb (Oakland, CA)
ORDERED: GEM & SOUTHIE
Price $12-14.
Never been to the spot. Dope atmosphere beer on tap, in door outdoor seating and TV for the big game. But time to focus on the Sandwiches. We had what is called the Gem (cheese steak) and the south (chicken bbq). First thing I think of for Bay Area hoagie is Dutch crunch and this place had it. You can’t beat a good Crunch and the bread provides just that. The meats in the two sandwiches above were emulsified in gooey cheese and shards of the respected meats (chicken and steak). Size wise one is definitely enough as I had leftovers to take home. The sandwich had zero dry aspects to it but also was not dripping with grease. My only issue was the bread was cut completely in half giving some issues with keeping the delicious meat in its vessel. All in all was a great dinner with my Fiancé Stacey and one of my best friends. Jose. Was pumped to share the meal. Follow BRIDGESBANGERS for more sandwich reviews.
Food is great. My complaint is regarding the new ordering system. I don’t understand why I can’t just simply order inside.
Delicious food and quick kind service! The wings are some of the best I've ever had, and full of flavor. Rustic interior, casual and relaxing. A favorite spot to hang out with friends
The best wings I have had hands down. They were spicy and extremely flavorful. The batter was exceptional.
The food is hella good but would be nice for the bar to update its drink menu. I ordered red wine and it was rancid and sour.
The only drinks that seem to exist are beers, tonics and straight liquor. A little boring when it comes to the drinks but the food is worth it
I haven't tried the burger yet but I just waited 40 minutes to get mine and there there's only one sandwich for a pickup order before me and only two people there together eating and we're almost finished.
Food is great here! Best burgers and tots in town. As a bar it's meh but the food def makes up for it.
The food was BOMB and the servers are so nice! Outdoor area where you can bring your doggo and still watch the games. Sunday burger and the Buffalo wings are to die for.
Really nice location on a side street off of San Pablo Ave with a shaded front patio. Met with some girlfriends and we closed the place down. Super nice barkeep. It lost a star because they had no white wine and i drank their last tiny bottle of prosecco. Great onion rings and spicy fries. The burgers looked amazing. I'm going back for a full on meal and not just snacks with the aperitivo!
