Homewood Suites by Hilton Irvine Spectrum Lake Forest

This is a three-star hotel, but it’s an excellent three-star hotel. Super new and clean. Appliances and AC are new and quiet. No noise at night. Extremely comfortable.

This place is such a gem! We have stayed here a handful of times, in the past couple of years.feels like the same excellence we fell in love with, every time we visit! Thank you, to an exceptional and courteous kind of representatives, from the front, to the back, and in-between, I give my 5 star rating because the hospitaity, is unsurpassed, far, or near!

We enjoyed our stay here. The property feels new and was very clean. They clean your suite every other day which is sufficient enough for me. We got to enjoy the complimentary breakfast which has a decent variety every morning. The earlier you go to the buffet, the better. If you go the last 30 minutes of the buffet, just don't expect everything to be fully stocked. The front desk always seemed to be super courteous and nice. There is a parking fee here which they just raised to $15 per night, but you will find that at just about all the hotels here. There is also a deposit fee, but as long as you take care of everything then you will get that back. The area seemed to be very nice and just a short drive to the Irvine Spectrum. The location of the hotel puts you about 30-40 miles from the popular attractions of Los Angeles which depending on the day and time of day can be stretched due to traffic. We went during the week of Christmas and I think the longest it took us to get back to the hotel from downtown LA was about an hour and a half, other than that you can get there in about 45 minutes if you avoid heavy traffic times. It is about a 30-minute drive to the Disney parks. 1 hour from LAX. I would definitely stay here again, it is just as pictured.

I absolutely enjoyed our stay this weekend. The hotel was clean and breakfast was amazing. The gym and the room had everything you needed. The staff was so accommodating, and any request we had we were given a great smile and a yes. This will be our hotel when we are in town!

Service is good, the hotel is nice and clean and seems new, but my room isn't what I thought it would be. I usually stay at HWS and have always gotten a suit with a separate living area. I reached diamond and figured "why not splurge a bit". What a mistake. The best part is Hilton wants to charge me a higher rate to move, but I could've gotten what they would move me to at a cheaper rate had I booked it. So make that make sense. So I have 3 weeks to just deal with it. I think it's time to get my Marriott points up.

As a family who booked 2 rooms for 5 nights, we were able to enjoy our stay

It’s in a great location near some restaurants. Down the street is an Albertson’s to get some groceries because this room comes with a kitchen and a full size fridge and freezer. The room was clean and had fresh towels and sheets. Service was great too but my only complaint is the free breakfast had a small selection of hot foods. Other than that it was perfect.

Excellent facilities and rooms, all very clean. The staff is always very attentive and very good drinks at happy hour.

Obviously I don't expect 5 star service from the Homewood suites so it falls within expectations. My complaint is that it's soo noisy. I had a hard time sleeping and staying asleep. I could hear the elevator going up and down and I was all the way down the hallway. Steps from floors above. People moving. The bed sheets would make me feel cold and sweating. Weird. Someone's underwear was in the middle of the hallway. I was only there for 1 night.

This hotel gave me the worst experience. A man swam in the pool, which is a public facility, wearing only his underwear. It was unpleasant to watch and there was a little friction with my friend, but the hotel manager called the police for us and kicked us out. I knew it was unfair because I don't speak English very well and they treated me as if I was a criminal. I had to leave the hotel with three cops and a criminal.
It was really embarrassing to swim in my underwear in public, but the manager blamed it on our fault instead of giving us any guidance or mediation, and I even thought it was racism.
It was a terrible experience and I was kicked out without getting my money back.
It was like they treated us like criminals.

Definitely will be staying here again. Good value for the room rate. Great location with a lot of good restaurants nearby.

The hotel is nice, better than what there is in the area, it is Petfriendly although it has a disadvantage, that when they are not aware of the animals they go out into the hallway and scare those who are in the hallway. The room is nice - Refrigedaror, electric grill (small kitchen), small sofa, small desk, bed with TV and full bathroom. The cleaning service noticed that they were alternating days (one yes and the next no). One day a week I had some girls singing at the bar, it was something good and different to distract you. As for the internet service, it was bad. I was in room 201 and the only thing that connected was the cell phone and the laptop on the desk, near the door, and it kept disconnecting.you had to be on the lookout to reconnect it. Corridor distances very long.

Very comfortable, clean, and great location. Our room was spacious and had a kitchenette. The complimentary breakfast was a great addition. Will stay here again.

I had an emergency come up and needed to simply change the date of my stay. The hotel would not allow me, even as a “valued IHG member” for more than a decade. I lost several hundred dollars on the stay and had to book another hotel for the stay I still have to pay for the trip I need to make in 2 weeks. Will not be using Hilton chain of hotels again as they are unreasonable. This was booked directly with Hilton and not through a third party booking agency and they still would not allow a change. I was not asking for a refund, simply a change of date.

In the area for training. Close to John Wayne Airport via shuttle. Plenty of dining spots all around.

I was incredibly satisfied with this hotel. The suite was roomy enough for a longer stay. The room was very clean and spotless! The staff were great and helpful and the breakfast was really good with a lot of options! A few shopping places and restaurants are nearby as well. Definitely come back!
