Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Hotel Circle/SeaWorld Area

Very close to Old Town SD. Beautiful hotel next to the airport and the wonderful Old Town.a must if you're visiting.

But DO NOT rely on their "wake up calls". They seemingly are oblivious to what those are. I asked for a 5am call and at 5: 20 I hadn't received a call, so I called the front desk and told them to forget it and all I got was "ok" with attitude.

Lobby/Common Area:
The Business Center only has 2 stations, the printer is inside the cabinet.    You get the output through a slot.

Dining area is spacious and clean, but dark.feels like a lounge.   They played music in the dining area during breakfast.also a first for me.   Very high ceiling.

Public men's room, near the best center.   1 accessible stall with changing station, 1 standard stall, 1 urinal and 2 sinks.   What is confusing is the sign in the standard stall. " wave hand to activate flush"  see photo. There is no sensor.

Common area looked clean and free of trash.

There is coffee behind the front desk.

Outside perimeter
Lots of parking, but not free.   Spaces are wide and plenty of room to backup.
Note the walkways are stained, most likely from the palm fruits on the property.
The planted areas were clean and free of debris.

Staff
Front Desk Staff Interestingly, I was notified to see the front desk to get my room, even though I booked the room and it was confirmed by my  Amex Hilton Card.    They had to swipe my card; I have not experienced this before at any Hilton Property since I as far as I can remember.   I booked a king bed suite. What I got was a 2 queen bed suite.   Front desk failed to tell me of this change.   My online booking confirmation shows the correct room but when I got in (see photo).

Housekeeping StaffRequested extra towels and bar soap since the kitchen sink did not have any hand soap.   Staff came up within 10 minutes of the call.   Very fast.
The bathroom did not have any hand lotion and there was only 1 bar of hand soap.   The shower had large refillable bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel attached to the back wall.

Pretty clean.    Carpet is clean.   Bathroom shower had a mild sewage odor. No dust on high services.
The kitchen was furnished and all the utensils were there.   Note there are 2 types of coffee makers.a K-Cup on the counter and one that uses pods in the bottom cabinet.   In room coffee was not K-Cups.they were pods.   Non coffee were K-Cups.
Ceiling fan in bedroom squeaks when on.

Food
Breakfast start times 6AM week days & 7AM Weekends

First time I saw white rice for breakfast.

Breakfast #1 Burrito bar- scrambled eggs, french fries, crispy bacon.   The bacon was really crispy.   First time I ever had french fry for breakfast.

My wife told me there were omelette stations located outside through the double doors. Unfortunately I was there when the breakfast area first opened up so the omelette stations were not ready yet

Gym/Pool
Outdoor pool is located on the 2nd floor.   The pool is gated, needing your room key to access.   There is also a BBQ area.   There is a hot tub next to the pool.   The area was clean.   Bathrooms and showers are located nearby.

The Fitness Center is on the 1st Floor near the South Elevator Lobby.   Very roomy and spacious.   Note no water source or restrooms near the fitness center.   Nearest bathroom and water is in the lobby area.

Guest Laundry
Located on the First floor by the fitness center.   4 sets of washer and dryer.   $4 per wash and dryer cycle.   No change machine in the laundry room.   Quarters only.

Ice makers
Every Floor has an Ice Maker.

Guest Elevators
the West Elevator is a bit on the rickety side.   There is a lot of sway when travelling. This is the service elevator with a rear door.

South Elevator is way smoother.   This is a single elevator.   However there is no signage identifying which way is it to the lobby on the first floor.   The South Elevator is where the Guest Laundry and Fitness Center is located.

North Elevator is smooth.   This is a two car elevator.   It is behind the business center.

Each elevator lobby contained a large communal trash can.   This is great.

4.5 because no balconies. For what this place is worth, I give them a five star on every but overall. I loved the kitchen inside, but did not get to use it. The shower was amazing, could have used a bath. The pool is tiny. I liked the bbq area. This place is the place to stay if you want to.

Stayed here with my two toddlers and husband. Convenient location right off the highway (hotels after hotels). Our room was clean, kitchen had everything we needed, and the separate bedroom was a godsend as my kids slept early and we can close the door to watch tv in the living room. The breakfasts were good, and the one happy hour we were able to attend had fried fish and taco fixings. The eating areas were always clean, no matter how busy the breakfast time was, and our room was cleaned everyday. The courtyard was perfect entertainment for my kids all day and night. Large chess pieces, ping pong tables, cornhole, benches, tables, and fire pits. The only downside was you pay for daily parking, and their spaces are narrow! Compact cars fit perfectly, but full sized sedans and bigger can hardly open their doors to get in and out. I always parked in the back of the hotel just so I can open the doors wide enough to unbuckle my girls and not worry about hitting another car. The bedroom was lacking drawers. It had a closet, but for how long we stayed, I like to put our clothes away in drawers, and not have to keep the suitcases out along the floor and walls to grab clothes (they had one suitcase rack).

If you are traveling with family and pets, this is the best hotel ever they have complimentary breakfast and dinner. Everything was clean and staff was very attentive.

THE BEDS ARE SO OLD AND UNCOMFORTABLE! I haven't felt a bed like that since the 90's and early 2000's. This was unacceptable. I had to sleep on the couch. It seriously gave me so much anxiety. The top comforter is itchy and cheap. The refrigerator smelled horrible, like a rat threw up and died in there. I asked to have it cleaned but the smell remained as strong as ever. Every time you closed it an odor took over the room for a few minutes. I couldn't bare it. The hallways smell old because they are kept warm, which was very uncomfortable. I dont get why they charge $24 for parking if theres no valet or special parking. The breakfast is ok. Better than most but not the best. The location is great. Its a short drive to anywhere. The staff was great and sweet except for one of the ladies that cleaned the room. I asked her if she spoke spanish and she looked as if it was an insult. It was rude and offensive. I dont think i could ever stay here again.

Had a 3 night stay booked only stayed for 2 nights. Rooms are very small most importantly look at the date on your mattress we had a mattress that was dated 2016! Woke every morning hurting from the stiff old mattress. Pool was super dirty had toilet paper floating in it and tons of hair. Over the 2 days we were here they never cleaned the pool. As far as the bbq goes you’ll have to elbow your way into using it. I will never be back to this location.

I love this hotel, the service was great, the property is beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was hot and well stocked each morning. The location in convenient to everything. Fabian at the front desk was professional and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this property and plan to visit again.

Great location! Close to beaches, Zoo, SeaWorld, and legoland! Rooms are a little small for 5 people, but we aren't there long. Free breakfast is nice! Would visit again

Homewood Suites SeaWorld was a fantastic choice. The location was perfect for SeaWorld visits, and the staff, including the helpful front desk reps Viddy and Jenny, were friendly and accommodating. The complimentary meals were a great bonus. I highly recommend it!

Front desk staff was a mixed bag, mostly unwilling to go the extra bit, but some exceptions.
Kind of beat up in areas, but overall still feels clean and comfortable.

Excellent price, kind helpful people who work there and conveniently located. Highly recommend staying there!

Large rooms with kitchen, super clean, helpful and smiling staff, amazing breakfast every morning!

Everything was good. It took about less than 10 minute by car to go to Seaworld. The location was really calm, so it was also good to stay and comfort.

Overall a great experience! Very clean hotel, good breakfast and very nice lobby and outside games for the family. I will definitely stay here again. I stayed here with my family for my nephews Marine graduation and it was great!

I stayed here during my sons Marine Corps graduation and I just want to say that they really were amazing to work with we accidentally left a bag behind and they found it and were really accommodating when we called to get the bag back. The breakfast and dinner services are good and tasty.the only thing that was a drawback is the rooms need to have the AC running as it gets a bit stuffy. But we had an enjoyable experience and they are very family and animal friendly!
