Honda Santa Maria

Santa Maria Honda is a very expensive dealership. Don't let the new building fool you. It's the same ol' Santa Maria Honda. Expensive car purchase prices, expensive service center, and expensive parts counter. Service advisors are on commission, just like sales associates. It's a good rule of thumb to price check local reputable mechanics and to verify the work needs to be completed.

I came in looking for a car and I have to say I’m very pleased with the customer service George provided. He was very knowledgeable and provided me with the best options to fit my needs. I would highly recommend Honda Santa Maria.

I was present the day we bought a Nissan Sentra that they sold to us with no previous inspection, they sell damaged cars. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP, I wish I would’ve paid attention to the bad reviews. It’s all true

Do not trust this dealership. My best friend had an unsolved issue with his car transmission in the past and they were not able to help him out. They will sell you the best option but please be aware.

Never buy a car from this company, they sell damaged cars and then turn their backs on their clients.

Bad experience with Honda of Santa Maria.
They had a used car I wanted. I called and they assured me it was in excellent condition. (Turns out the sales people are at another location and don't know anything about the cars.) I told them I wanted to buy it and to have it ready. When I arrived, the car was NOT ready. It was an electric car and it wasn't charged.so I couldn’t see the full charge range - and I would need to wait for the car to charge to drive it home. The car was also dirty inside. Worst of all, there were many fairly significant scratches on the side that were not visible in the photos and not disclosed in the ad.
Then came time for the invoice. Before arriving, I had confirmed that there would be no additional charges. But, there were additional charges, including $499 for a scam "etch" service. Also, the DMV charges seemed high, so I went on the DMV site which said that I owed $200 less. The registration was also 2 months past due and they were making me pay for those extra months.
Then, a customer came in and had a heated exchange with the salesperson because he had just bought a brand new car that had been delivered with numerous scratches - but at night so he couldn't see them.
At that point I decided to leave and not buy the car.

This place is not reliable to buy a car from my experience and from that of other friends. They sell cars in poor condition, and do not come through with the guarantee. Additionally, they do not answer for any damage, and quite frankly, they are dishonest people…?

We had our 2016 Pilot serviced at Santa Maria Honda and the experience was definitely top notch. Jesus Medina kept us informed with updates and the follow up was excellent. I recommend them highly!

Terrible! There isn’t any other word to describe the service I experienced from them. W bought an used Nissan a little bit over a year now and the car has come with so many issues. We literally had to spend over $4000 in repairs, which is almost half of what it cost. RIDICULOUS! Then, when we wanted to return it with the warranty they didn’t even want to take it or make any offers on it. They would do anything to convince you to buy a car from them but then they don’t give any importante to what the state of the car is. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

I’ve been going here for more than 3 years now for my 2 Hondas’ maintenance service. Last Friday, I brought my CRV for maintenance. I don’t usually pop my hood and check after they do the service because I trust them and I pay good money for their service but for some reason I decided to check the hood. To my dismay, I saw a blade that was probably used during the service on the engine. The engine was also dirty from the the service they did. They didn’t even clean their mess. Very disappointing. I called the service rep to show him the blade and where it was laying. Always check your hood after service. Can’t trust them anymore.
