I cannot express my gratitude for Mark in words. My dog had extreme trouble eating things off the ground and pulling during walks. After 4 trainings with Honor K9 I truly feel that I now have the tools to make our walks 100% more enjoyable together:) Mark has a passion for dogs and is always fair and compassionate with them. I never once felt that he was being too hard on my dog. He lets dogs be dogs while simultaneously teaching them how to listen and be safe.

Mark is extremely knowledgeable and gave recommendations that actually work. He used examples and scenarios that apply to our lives in order to coach us to work positively with our dog. Xena and we, her family, are forever grateful as these early months are the most important for our puppy.

Mark is one of the most knowledgeable dog trainers I've ever met. He has sound advice for handling various aspects of a dog's training, from training the basics to various forms of advanced training, including scent work. I found his advice for my new (older) puppy who has higher prey drive than any of my other Belgians, to be spot on. Kona is a very different dog than my others and, as such, has different techniques that work for him (and me!). Mark is always willing to assist during our lessons. I even called upon him while my husband and I were on vacation when there was an issue with the dog walker. He is the best!

I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I have had the pleasure of watching Mark train both my parents and sisters dogs previously.

Luckily for me he was available to train my new 7 month old puppy, Max.

Mark brought a wealth of knowledge to the training not only regarding the psychology involved in training but also regarding the innate breed characteristics and how to embrace them and help them flourish. Our trainings really focused on understanding and exploring the strength of positive reinforcement and consistency. He was able to fine tune each lesson to the exact issues I needed help and support with rather than focusing on some predetermined agenda.

It was incredible to see behaviors (I.e, mouthing, barking, over excitement, counter surfing, etc) dissipate over the four weeks together through Marks teachings and my consistency when not in class.

Each class was truly a pleasure and I feel like not only a better dog owner but a better more compassionate owner and person overall.

Mark gave us wonderful advice for training or two rescue shepherds. We are seasoned shepherd owners, but it has been over 7 years since we had puppies. We had results the same day. Our new pups were destroyed our sofa, books, and jumping on the dining room table. We are working consistently with our dogs to continue their progress. We highly recommend Honor K9.

HonorK9 was a huge help in the building of a great relationship between myself and my puppy, Odin. Mark helped teach me how to read and respond to Odin’s behaviors and actions. With positive reinforcement and repetition Odin learned how to socialize and behave in public. Also, we set achievable expectations on how to behave at home. The training outings created real world challenges and scenarios that taught Odin how to trust me and respond accordingly to whatever we run into in the future.

In our 4 sessions with Mark, not only did he teach us a ton about our puppy Ellie’s behavior, he also took into consideration each family member’s needs and areas of concern. We were able to run various real-life scenarios and experiences by him for feedback and suggestions. Each of us now has more confidence and skill in helping Ellie be the best dog she can be. We would definitely train with Mark again.

Mark is an expert at handling dogs, and he is a effective communicator. He seems to understand what is going on inside a dogs brain. With some simple tips, and advice, he completely changed the behavior of my puppy to an obedient little companion.

My parents are trying to domesticate a stray German Sheperd and didn't have the answers to move her progress forward. Mark was kind enough to provide his time and knowledge and suggest many great ideas in which we will be trying immediately. Mark is friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I was at my wit’s end with my extra bitey 10 week old puppy. We enrolled in Puppy School with Honor K9. Mark was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, caring, and helpful. He showed me how to work with my puppy to deter the biting using positive reinforcement techniques. After working with Mark for 4 sessions, my sweet Alfie’s manners improved significantly, he learned basic commands, and I saw Alfie’s willingness to learn. I plan to continue Alfie’s training with Mark. My puppy loves him and I think he is absolutely amazing. I am so thankful to Mark for everything he taught us!

We LOVED working with Mark and Honor K9 and are so grateful for his thorough, patient and positive training methods for our 1.5 year old dog Dolly. We started working with Mark about a month after we adopted Dolly from the Humane Society, she has a very sweet demeanor but wasn't familiar with any commands and needed to be taught everything from scratch. Our biggest concern was making sure she has a strong recall and obeyed "leave it" since she loves to pick up anything and everything on our walks.

Mark listened to our concerns and right away tailored the training to our priorities. During the first session, he taught us incredibly helpful tricks and strategies to teach Dolly to "come" on command. Over the four weeks, she went from barely responding when we said her name, to running from around the corner when we say "Dolly, come! " She still has some progress to make as expected, but we are all so thrilled with the progress she has made so far, and we're much more confident knowing the right ways to train her further.

Working with Mark has been a pleasure, he's a true professional with an inspiring knowledge of and love for dogs of all kinds. If and when we adopt another dog in the future we will absolutely be working with Mark again. Thank you for everything!
