Well maintained and signed trail system. Includes some beautiful views of the river and a good balance of sun & shade opportunities. My dog and I frequent this trail and love it.

We hiked on this trail from the parking area to the reservoir about 2.5 miles one way, just under 5 miles there and back. Saw a couple bikers who were respectful of hikers but they typically spooked us given the solitude of the hike. Not much to look at during the hike other than over head manzanita and holly. So visually a little boring, but the trail is in great shape for bikes. Definitely peaceful and quiet, which in my opinion is better than an eye candy trail with tons of people.
