Horror Vibes Coffee, North Hollywood CA

I was visiting L. A.from out of town and just happened to walk by horror vibes coffee. I was looking for some coffee, so i decided to stop by. I really liked the vibe of the coffee shop and the staff were super friendly.

First of all the drink. I ordered the Frankestein latte and omg I am so glad I did. I love pistachio and this was by far the best pistachio latter I had. The flavor of the pistachio was not artificial and was very refreshing.

Now for the staff, their POS system was down and I waited for a while to see if it would work so I could pay for my drink but after a while not been able to pay as their system was still down and me not having cash as i never carry any, the lady told me the drink was in the house. Been in the service industry myself, this was excellent customer service but also I know that this is loss of profit, so I will be calling to see if I can make the payment over the phone.

This place has a fun ambiance & creative drinks. The staff is nice. My drink was great!

This is such a fun coffee shop! From the menu to the decor! All beautifully curated for horror fans! Also, the staff and owner are amazing, and so is the coffee!

It’s a great concept. The decor inside is appealing. However, the place itself is essentially a hallway. Incredibly narrow, with very little room to stand. The service was slow & often times, the baristas appeared confused & unorganized. The drinks are incredibly sweet & far too bitter (I asked for decaf, which I was told they had.but it absolutely was not decaf). I think there’s room for improvement here, but it has great potential. I hope to give it a second chance in the future.

Ordered scissor hands latte and it was okay over priced for a small cup. Didn’t finish it.
Ordered the jalapeño croissant and that was really good and spicy.
Purchased a candle with chunky design it was $20

I’ve tried Horror Vibes place a few times, and I’m always disappointed. Overpriced, hot drinks are never up to temperature, and they’re not even filled all the way. The decor is tacky Halloween decorations slapped on wherever. I really wish this place was better because their flavors are decent.

There are many coffee shops in the area but none like this! The horror decor/art is lovely. Their playlist was on point, first time I have ever heard Korn played at a coffee shop I love that you can add CBD to any drink!

Place is small but cozy. Great decor all around. The drinks were not that great. It tasted like home made drinks. I will continue to go back because I want to supper horror businesses but definitely need to step up the coffee game

Love Horror Vibes! I've been a handful of times over the past few months, and I always get an iced matcha latte, and it's always amazing. Would highly recommend! Love the art and the vibes too. A great spot.:)

Great atmosphere with all the horror movie details. Drinks were great and had themed names. Teens saw it on TikTok and were soooo excited to see it in real life

Lied to me and doesn’t know the difference between 1/2 caff and only doing one shot in a grande drink when it calls for 2. Due to heart issues and breastfeeding I limit my caffeine. Barista says they don’t have decaf but can do one shot. I explained the ratio would be off on milk and coffee because they don’t have anything smaller than a medium. They couldn’t understand why the ratio would be off and wouldn’t charge me less for the missing shot in a medium. Here the kicker a manger walks over and says oh we have 1/2 caff and the barista has a weird look because she know I don’t want one shot and that they really don’t have 1/2 caff. They talk in a huddle And then hand me a cup that says 1 shot on it. I explained this just tastes like water down pumpkin milk and I’m told we’ll it has 1/2 the caffeine so it’s half caff. No 1/2 caff is regular and decaf ground mixed and would still have 2 shots. But I was sure charged for 2 shots. Horrible service, over priced, will never come back and yes it is ridiculous how long this took to explain.

Response to shops reply: I do not consider 7 one star reviews in 7 years a lot. If anything it proves it takes either fantastic or awful service to warrant a review and this was awful. I didn’t ask for a free extra shot. Your drinks come with 2 standard and you only gave me 1 but charged me full price for 2. The issue is you lied and called it half caff, right after the barista was honest and said no we don’t have any but we can do one shot and I said I’d rather not and order some tea. You can’t argue the facts, that is not half caff. I was very polite to the barista and even tipped her before receiving my “milk” this review was for the manger who lied to my face. I saw their expression and the barista was not comfortable when it was called half caff. Also who doesn’t carry decaf in 2022?

Great location, with fun special drinks and a
wicked theme. My drink was tasty and delicious. Parking is available on street or there is a back lot. Nice outdoor and indoor seating available.

Super fun and spooky little coffee house. The decor lives up to the name, as do the drinks, such as Frankenstein's Latte (pistachio flavor and delicious with macadamia milk). The barista was great, friendly, and made delicious drinks. Can't wait to return.

Delicious and bold coffee. I love the decor too! As a horror fan, my two favs have merged here. Also the barista was super sweet and explained the different drinks with such enthusiasm. I’ll be back next time I’m in the valley

Extremely cool small coffee shop down the road from me. I love the horror theme mixed with a coffee shop. Like the juxtaposition between an uneasy theme against what’s usually a calming environment.

It still is calming which is cool because the music is not horror music lol. It’s soft indie mainstream soft pop. And not overbearing at all.

The art on the walls as murals and canvas art with the art lighting and soft purple lighting is a cool touch.

The baristas seems super nice and down to earth. They great people with genuine warmth vs over the top or fake niceties.

The drink menu is simple with a few unique offerings which I like. They also offer CBD in any of the coffees/teas.

It’s like a hidden gem that I can call my own neighborhood coffee shop and work for a couple hours in.

Meh. (coworker and I agreed) The barista wasn't very friendly, she wasn't particularly unfriendly - just very indifferent. The drinks weren't that great and only filled about 80%. I feel like someone had the idea for this place (great idea by the way) and then put minimal effort into it. Decor could be better - drinks could be better- and staff could be better. I hope you take this as helpful not harmful. I respect what you're trying to do.

Chill vibes with fun horror themed drinks. On the mid-expensive side for coffee and only about 5-8 areas to sit. Parking is in the back alley for $. 50 per 30 min. I’m here on a Sunday, and it’s a super relaxed environment with good music. Def coming back for a fun drink during the Halloween season

Hands down best coffee in Noho (North Hollywood) ; Yes, i’ll say it again, HANDS DOWN THE BEST COFFE IN NOHO!

Even my super picky mother *love you mom* loves this place, talked about it all while she visited from Chicago!

The shop is adorable, and the owner is truly a light. Never had a bad experience, not once in all the times i’ve been. Friendly wait staff; super unique decor.

Do yourself a solid, stop in, have a cup; and just feel the vibes. You’ll be glad you did.
