Hotel 1110, Monterey CA

The visit to this hotel isn’t my first and I am pleased to say that I love it more and more every time! From personal experiences and observation, the staff is very friendly and welcoming! I love how they catch up with their guests in the mornings, asking about their plans for the day and if they are enjoying their stay so far. Breakfast here is never a disappointment, the fresh fruits are some of the best I’ve ever had! Dinners at the rooftop are amazing, they have beautiful scenery and delicious food/drinks. My favorite is the shrimp tacos but all the food is amazing! Overall, I would continue to come stay here and share this experience with others by recommending!

This was one of the BEST places I have EVER stayed! The hotel was so cute & had SO much to offer. The restaurant on the roof was gorgeous, the food was incredible, the drinks were delicious, & the wait staff was so great. The breakfast restaurant downstairs was the BEST! The food was amazing, the coffee was perfect, the decor was beautiful, & it was all included in the stay which was insane. The room was cozy and quaint & the jet bathtub was wonderful! Huge tv in the room too which was awesome. The biggest asset to Hotel 1110 is the manager Tony. He was on top of everything! He was so welcoming & friendly, he was super friendly & did everything to make sure we were taken care of! Can’t say enough good things about Tony! The hotel is super close to a ton of restaurants & attractions in town. We will DEFINITELY return. 100/10 recommend!

While we didn't stay in the hotel, the staff generously accepted to cancel our non-refundable rate after we told them we had made a mistake in our bookings, this was very much appreciated and shows the staff is reasonable!

I'm very torn on this hotel. It was our last night at the end of a 10 day road trip. I wanted it to be the best night to close that out. Unfortunately it wasn't.

The pictures of our room (208) looked pretty special. However, the windows on one side were overlooking the parking and were overlooked by the neighbouring office. The others had a great view down 1st Street towards Monterey. But they too have an overlook from a set of stairs leading down from another neighbouring property (this might be empty as it was a MacDonalds).

The bed was really soft. We first thought it might be a water bed because of the way it behaved when we sat down. And every time one of us moved during the night it disturbed the other. We would have preferred a slightly harder mattress.

The shower was over a whirlpool bath. That meant a shower curtain that you had to battle not to stick to you during a shower. The shower has jets and the water can get nicely hot.

There was no complementary water or coffee facilities in the room.

Breakfast was definitely good. The portions were reasonably large. And what we had was filling enough. The breakfast area itself was impeccable, with strong black and white photographs on the walls.

The service was very good throughout. We felt very welcome. Which is why this review pains me to write.

In the last 10 days we've stayed in 6 hotels & motels. Sadly Hotel 1110 would rank 4th or 5th of those.

My main problem is that "boutique" to me means a higher level of attention to detail than I would experience at a normal hotel. And that's just not here with Hotel 1110.

Funky hotel right on Del Monte walking distance to tourist attractions. Nice rooftop restaurant/bar.

Stay away from this place!
If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I, on our honeymoon, entered this hotel and first of all we found no one at the reception, we had to wait a bit before being welcomed. A guy then greeted us, gave us the room keys and we headed up to it. No elevators, so we had to take the stairs with all our suitcases, on small, narrow and creaking stairs. The apotheosis as soon as we saw the room. So narrow that your suitcases couldn't even fit. For April we had to put them on the bed, which among other things was considered double by them, but clearly it was a square and a half. Dirty room, I found myself having to throw away used tissues that weren't ours in the bin. An indescribable smell of mold, to which I am allergic and I didn't have any antihistamine with me. The bed with yellow stains. Room was also noisy, you could hear everything that those in the rooms next door were doing. I didn't hesitate to come down asking to give us another room explaining all the reasons. Their response was that they would change my room. We wait in the room for the ok for the change and another boy arrives with some sheets to change because the other rooms were all occupied. I pointed out the problems again, the boy replied that he was asking the owner to wait in the room. After more than half an hour no one came back. In the meantime we were waiting standing in the corridor because of the smell. Annoyed by the wait, we went down with our bags to look for another hotel but the ones we called were all full. Complaining again, the situation obviously hadn't changed. Out of desperation we returned to the room. We slept dressed, with the window open and I wore the Ffp2 because of the mold. The owner has always been very rude, the next day when he saw us he didn't even say hello. I really don't understand how this hotel can be considered a 4 star, I would give it one and that's already a lot. Very bad experience. I absolutely don't recommend it to anyone.

Very nice hotel right on the Pacific. Fisherman’s wharf is a 5 minute walk! Rooms are a bit small but the breakfast is very good!

We enjoyed our second visit to Hotel 1110. The location is perfect walking distance to lots of restaraunts and tourist spots. The hosts are gracious and geniunely care about your stay. Don't pass on the FREE breakfast. It was excellent and def NOT the run of the meal banana, yogurt, pastry.

We loved our stay at Hotel 1110. The two gentlemen who run it give you a very personalized experience. The rooftop bar/restaurant is really delicious, scenic, and charming. The free breakfast was beyond what you normally get at a "free hotel breakfast. " Polenta, lemon ricotta pancakes, breakfast tacos.really good stuff. And our room was great. Not huge but my husband and I stayed for a relatively long time (6 nights) and never felt cramped. It's about 3/4 of a mile from the wharf via the bike trail across the street - so nearby but not right in the thick of it. We'd definitely stay here again.

The rooftop bar has incredible views. The drinks and appetizers are top notch. Worth the price. A great choice for date night. The only knocks I have for this place are the parking and location. Behind the hotel the parking is cramped and basically unusable. You have to street park a block or two away. You're right on the road so I'd recommend visiting on off hours so that you don't hear or smell the traffic. Kids aren't allowed which was a disappointment.

Walkable to cute spots in downtown. Rooms are very small and kind of oddly oriented. No AC and our room was a total sauna without the fan blowing on us all night. You can hear every thing that happens in every room. Rooftop bar is nice, but service is pretty slow.

Stay here all the time, not the most extravagant, but makes up for with location (across the street from the beach), the roof top terrace and bar (view of the ocean), and the service! Best home made breakfast ever had, included in your stay. 5 stars!

Hotel 1110 was delightful! We are so happy to have found this boutique hotel. Though it doesn't look imposing on the outside, once you go through the doors you are transported. Beautiful and eclectic furnishings and light fixtures. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. Having a rooftop bar and a lovely breakfast room with delicious food and beverages was the frosting on the cake!

We had a lovely stay here this past weekend. Service was great, the breakfast service was really nice, the room had everything we needed, WiFi worked well, it's walkable to downtown and a 60-second walk to have your toes in the sand. Additionally, check-in and check-out took literal seconds. The only downsides were it was warm all night (vast majority of buildings in Monterey have no AC) and our room faced Del Monte Ave, which is pretty busy even late into the night; we would try to request to not have a room facing the street next time. But.there isn't anything the hotel or owners can do about outside temperatures and traffic, so nothing against them at all.

Will definitely be staying here again!

Great service and incredible stay! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, a perfect place for couples.

Service was great but the bed was the worst be I have ever layed on it felt like something from the 1800.00 and the rooms have mold and cracking paint every where

Amazing staff and amazing hotel. They saved our trip and are very very attentive to our needs.

First and foremost, I want to say thank you for going above and beyond to make sure I received my lost items. We are definitely going to recommend any of our friends and family to your hotel if they are going to Monterey.

Their breakfast was amazing with beautiful decor. A different atmosphere to have a nice meal!

We had one of the nice suites for our 12 year anniversary and it did not disappoint.

They followed up with me to make sure I got home okay after losing my passport and I will never forget their patience and understanding.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel is also right across the street from the beach which was nice. The rooms are quite small and are not air conditioned which means they get pretty hot.

I definitely say the pros outweigh the cons of this hotel. The staff was friendly and so helpful. And the roof top restaurant had probably the best food I had my whole trip. The rooms are amazing and clean. My only cons were the bed was really hard so I had a really hard time sleeping my whole stay. And the room doesn't come with a mini fridge or anything like that, which I needed for medication I need up keep refrigerated. But the gentleman at the front desk was so nice and would bring me up buckets of ice so I could keep my meds cold. Not to mention if I had anything doordashed, he would bring it right up which I totally didn't expect. He was a total gem and made the whole experience so worth it. I would definitely stay again.

Wow what a great surprise from my soon to be wife. Tony is the best the staff are all very nice and hard working.the breakfast are the best I've had and the breakfast made my other half order them 2 days in a row.quite comfy and clean roof top restaurant was also a big plus and would go every day to get the cheese cake if I could.definitely will make sure to stay again
