Hotel Erwin, Venice CA

A comfortable stay with pleasant staff and easy access. We took advantage of the valet parking and though it was expensive, it was an easy safe alternative to street parking and really enjoyable to have the car waiting for us when we got to the front. Thanks to all the kind staff for the enjoyable stay.

Disappointed. I was promised a list of things that were not at all fulfilled. For the price I paid for 2 days was beyond me, it was not worth it at all. Among other difficulties. My husband and I were out of options to do last min changes since we drove out 12hrs. We were beat! Yes, they did give us another room but not worth for the price I paid. Not any different from the first room. I 100% will NOT be coming back nor do I at all recommend this place to anyone! Save your money!

Nice property. Bad staff. First day of our stay the shower constantly backed up. Was finally corrected our last night. $60 per day valet. No free parking offered by the hotel. Paid a $300 room deposit, $150 per day (super unusual for a domestic, not resort hotel) only for it to still be pending in my account 2 weeks after check out. Was told that it was processed on day 8, only to find out that was not the case. Checked out 11/10, it's the 25th Thanksgiving and they returned. 01 cent of my 300. Lol. Ms. Joana is the only staff member there who cares.

First time stay. When I rolled up late our first night the 2 employees at the door were very welcoming and concerned that I was wet and in a hurry. They allowed me to leave the car out front as I was to leave right away. Front desk person was wonderful as well. Dropped my bags and ran off. Upon my returned everyone remembered me. I love that. Our partial ocean view suite was roomy and very comfortable. We stayed a week. The staff is attentive and polite. The rooftop restuarant is fantastic! No problems at all. Good price great value. We will be back.

I loved my stay at Hotel Erwin! Staff was friendly. Room was very clean. My room also had an incredible city and ocean view on the balcony. The High Rooftop Bar above the hotel was even more impressive with practically a 360 degree view of LA. Perfect for ordering dinner and drinks and watching the sunset in Venice Beach! I‘m definitely recommending this place to all my European friends when they visit me in LA!

$59 / night valet, rough part of town, no gym (?), and music blasts on ground level on the beach side. We should’ve stayed elsewhere.

Lemme just say that this hotel was out of this world! Not just the cleanliness of the room itself but the hospitality of the staff was immaculate! They were soo friendly and that alone would make me come back. Especially the main person who had checked us in Miguel made our stay very comfortable. The room was stocked with coffee and water and all the amenities of the hotel has everything you need not to mention their roof top view. The room we had had a balcony that was absolutely perfect for watching the sunrise in a relaxing environment. They had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner that smelled amazing within the showers. Overall… They made my first California experience the most unforgettable by far. It was literally behind the board walk of Venice Beach. I definitely recommend biking to Santa Monica Pier and just taking in the sights. Walking can be brutal for some like myself lol. Its close to LAX as well as SOFI stadium which was needed for us since we flew to see BTS. Absolutely amazing experience! 10 outta 10 recommend.

We had such a perfect stay here! Will come back for sure! Take it from someone that is ciritical when it comes to hotels ;)

Look, at nearly $400/nt.for a city view room with a one-foot wide balcony, they should have rolled out the red carpet for us. Instead, they charged a ridiculous Resort Fee (For what? WiFi? Who needs this in 2021? Must have been for the pool - oh, sorry - no pool). And $53 for parking. It's $10 half a block away. Oh, and no included breakfast (cost us over $60 for 3). This place just made me mad, and therefore, I hated the entire visit. Skip this place. Heck, skip LA! Who cares if the Hotel Erwin is near Venice Beach? For that much money, it should have been in the heart of Venice, Italy.

We had the most relaxing and peaceful stay at Hotel Erwin! Such cozy, warm, beach-side vibes. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and will definitely be back!

I loved the design of the place, the huge comfortable bed, and the provided shampoo/bodywash. The rooftop bar provides awesome sunset views. You can rent beach towels and bikes, and the hotel is located very close to the beach. Only drawback is the expensive valet ($54/night).

The little boutique hotel is located directly on the beach. With a view of Venice Beach from the terrace. Service with a smile However, if you want free parking, it's impossible. In that case, you are aware of the Venice Beach standard. The hotel's rooftop bar, which views the beach and serves cocktails and gourmet pizza slices, is located on the top floor. Just be careful at night your neighborhood isn’t friendly at all okay, be aware of that.

Went to the rooftop bar, not the hotel, but the food was excellent and the beer selection was nice. The view was the highlight.

Unfortunately this room was not as spectacular as advertised. After spending $450 on a room you HAVE to pay for valet which was another $60. The ocean view was a parking lot and it was very noisy. Staff was friendly though:) Overall Extremely let down by this experience.

The staff is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond, the location is amazing, the rooftop is cool, the room was nice but you can tell it's old. You can also hear everything in the halls from your room. Overall, I would recommend and would come back certainly

Me and my boyfriend have a tradition to come to Venice Beach for our anniversary, and this hotel was by far the best place we have stayed. The customer service is absolutely amazing (shout out to Brooke at the front desk, girl you are the best?). When you check into the wifi, a prompt comes up on your phone that asks you if you are satisfied with your stay so far. We typed in something along the lines of, "It's been awesome! The only thing missing is a microwave, but that isn't a huge deal". Not even five minutes later, we get a call to our room, and the front desk lets us know they are more than happy to deliver a microwave to our room. Within the next five minutes, someone is knocking on our door with a microwave (this goes to show that this hotel actually really cares about their customer's experience). On top of that, the rooms are cleaned thoroughly and smell extremely fresh. My boyfriend even wiped a cotton ball on the hard floor to test, and there was no dirt at all. Everyone is super friendly, and the valet parking is a plus (it's about $50 a day, but you get in and out privileges and it simplifies your stay; it is SO worth it, especially since most parking places are around the same price and won't let you go in or out). It's only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Everything is nearby! There's even a pizza place that is a part of the hotel (BOMB pizza, by the way). Not to mention the rooftop bar that has a gorgeous ocean view, plays great music, and serves delicious drinks. The only thing I would recommend is to avoid the 6th floor (it's right below the rooftop bar, so the music can be a little noisy). All in all, this place is such a gem in Venice, it's our favorite. We will definitely be returning! ️

Room was basic, it smelled like weed through the vents. Room was clean. Night time it does get noisy but that's how it is in Venice. We wanted something close to the beach with balcony. Rooftop bar was nice we were able to go and look at the view and enjoy some drinks. Front desk lady was nice. It cost 60 something for valet parking.

Location is key! Room basic, clean. Our room had partial ocean view. Bathroom offers very little privacy, noise level was high but expected. Valet parking is over priced but 100% convenient, safer etc. The bed was comfortable
